Framingham's Oteri Construction has piled up 25 five-star Google reviews since March alone, and several come from an unusual source: interior designers who work with contractors for a living. One writes that Oteri "cleared her bar" for flawless execution; another calls the team "one of my favorites" among the contractors she's used. Led by President Edward Oteri, with Nicolas Oteri as director of operations, the firm works throughout Massachusetts and Cape Cod — it names Cambridge, Somerville, Watertown, Wellesley, Sherborn and Southborough among its coverage towns — and describes itself as a high-end kitchen and bath remodeler that also handles additions and new home construction. That focus shows up in the specifics customers keep volunteering. A 2026 review describes a master bathroom built around a custom walk-in shower finished in Italian tile; another calls out a large outdoor deck built in ipe hardwood with an invisible fastener system so no nails or screws show, the kind of detail a reviewer only notices by watching the crew work. On Houzz, where the firm holds 4.9 stars from 10 reviews reaching back to 2017, the history runs deeper: in a 2017 review, a homeowner described Ed and his crew removing a chimney and structural wall for a kitchen renovation inside an 1841 Italianate house, and a 2025 review from a three-family-house owner said he's called on Oteri "on multiple occasions" since 2011. Local news reported the firm handling a second-floor commercial renovation for a Watertown dance studio in 2018, and Houzz credits it with a 2014 Newton Preservation Award for a historic renovation and condo conversion, plus recognition from NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Houzz also lists a Massachusetts home contractor registration (No. 136032) for the company — that's the directory's own listing, not an independently verified credential, so it's worth confirming with the state directly before signing. Past that, there's no negative review to weigh: none turns up across ten years, 40-plus reviews, and three separate platforms. This is a fit for a serious kitchen, bath, or whole-house project rather than a quick fix — the reviews are almost entirely full remodels, additions, and custom builds, several of them large and multi-room. Confirm the license and current lead times, and a decade of specific, five-star reviews from designers and homeowners alike makes the rest of the case.
“the second floor renovations are completed by Oteri Construction, Inc. – run by Ed and Jen Oteri of Watertown.”
“a good all-purpose contractor which will do jobs both big (like the Trapelo site) and small (repair a door lock) which is becoming a rare business in this age of specialisation.”
Pleased to recommend Oteri Construction. They renovated 2 baths and a mudroom for us. They don't take shortcuts, do quality work in a timely and professional manor and at reasonable prices.
I mean the work just speaks for itself. Everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully done. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations, and you can tell that a lot of care went into every detail. I couldn’t be happier with the transformation. It feels like a completely new bathroom! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to update or remodel their bathroom. Excellent work, great attention to detail, and a beautiful final result.
I challenged Oteri Construction with an impossible task: rejuvenate my kitchen (after over 30 years of neglect) for a certain budget, in a certain time frame, and with little lead time. Instead of saying it couldn't be done, they did it. (OK, the solid gold fixtures were a no-go.) We just stand in it and stare.
As an interior designer, I am looking for a contractor committed to flawless execution and great to work with. Oteri does both.
We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen! Oteri Construction completely transformed the space the custom white cabinetry is beautifully done, from the paneled refrigerator that blends right in to the little details like the brass hardware and the built-in beverage bar. The marble island countertop is stunning and has become the heart of our home. The craftsmanship is evident everywhere you look, clean lines, perfect finishes, and everything feels custom-built for how we actually live. The team was professional, communicative, and clearly took pride in the work. We get compliments on this kitchen constantly. Highly recommend Oteri Construction for anyone considering a renovation.
