Parker Septic & Drain is a Martha's Vineyard-based septic and drain contractor run personally by Matt Parker, offering septic system repair and installation, drain cleaning, MA Title V inspections, and trenchless pipe lining for the island and Chappaquiddick. The review record is unusually consistent: 17 reviews across Google, Angi and HomeAdvisor from 2021 through 2026, every one five stars, and the detail behind them holds up. Homeowners describe fast turnarounds on emergencies — arriving within an hour of a backup discovered on Christmas Eve Eve and having it fixed within two hours, and reaching a flooded rental-property basement within 20 minutes after roots blocked a pipe to the septic tank, digging it up and replacing it the same day, working past 8pm to finish. Several reviewers single out Matt's own diagnostic work, including tracing months of unexplained sewer gas into a home to a missing trap using a smoke test after another plumber couldn't find the source. A few reviews point to honesty over upselling: one homeowner, returning years later for another inspection tied to a real-estate transaction, says Matt told them a paid re-inspection wasn't necessary and to simply have the tank pumped instead. A retired teacher facing a $60,000–$100,000 septic expense credits Matt with laying out reasonable options during a stressful decision. Jobs are handled personally by Parker, sometimes alongside one additional team member named in reviews as Don — worth confirming scheduling and turnaround directly given the small crew, particularly for a large install. For islanders dealing with a septic failure, a backed-up drain, or a Title V inspection ahead of a home sale, reviewers consistently describe Parker Septic & Drain as fast to respond and straightforward to work with.
They wee fantastic! We had a root break the pipe between us and the town sewar system, so everything backed up into the main toilet and bath. They cam early, determined the problem, and then dug up the piper until they found the break and then repaired the pipe. They got a small backhoe in to dig up the pipe until they found the break. They replaced the dirt, grass and plants after they repaired it, staying late to be sure the job was completed. I could not recommend them more highly.
I called Parker Septic and Drain when a large area of ground collapsed adjacent to the old septic system at an active and crucial medical practice. Matt responded immediately with competence, professionalism, and a whole lot of heart. As the landlord and responsible party, my anxiety was immediately and thoroughly alleviated as he took control of the situation at hand. He set about to find the best solution, bearing in mind the unique circumstances, and I could not be more impressed and could not possibly recommend him highly enough. If I ever have another septic issue or need, Matt Parker is my man.
We had our septic back up on Christmas Eve Eve and this guys were there within an hour of speaking to them on the phone and they had it fixed two hours after they arrived. True professionals in every sense of the word.
Working with this company was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Not only were they punctual and affordable, but the level of professionalism truly stood out. The units arrived in immaculate condition — when I say clean, I mean they genuinely sparkled. It’s rare to see this level of care in portable sanitation, and it made a noticeable difference. The delivery team was equally impressive. They were thoughtful and intentional about placement, taking the time to ensure the units were set in the most practical and discreet location. They were also incredibly mindful of protecting the lawn and avoided unnecessary wear from the trucks. Even when I needed to adjust the delivery time multiple times, they remained flexible, accommodating, and consistently kind. This is a company that clearly values both their product and their customers. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of portable restrooms. They exceeded every expectation.
I always write a sincere review. I feel like whether I give a 1 or a 5 it is my absolute truth. I am so extremely appreciative of Matt. He was very kind, thoughtful and supportive. I was having a plumbing nightmare and not knowing me, he agreed to help, came right away and explained everything thoroughly. He fixed the problem fairly quickly and then went through the follow up options. There’s so many people who don’t give a damn about the customer they’re just about how much money they can charge you. It’s extremely worrisome and therefore you really don’t know who to trust but Matt and the two men with him( I wish I got their names) were so kind, informative, patient and professional and trustworthy. I won’t hesitate to refer people to them and will absolutely call them wherever I need a plumber. My sincerest thanks to all 3 men. Pattie Rawlins
