Perfectionist Painting

Perfectionist Painting LLC is a one-person, owner-operated exterior and interior painting business based in Hollis, New Hampshire, run personally by Eric with no subcontractors. The company states it has been in business 19 years and takes on everything from full exterior repaints and wood staining to surface prep and repair work, serving Hollis and the surrounding towns. The review record here is unusually deep and consistent: 32 Google ratings averaging 5 stars, with 31 written reviews spanning 2022 through 2026 and six in just the last six months, none negative. Homeowners repeatedly single out the same things: meticulous attention to detail, clear communication, and reliability. Several clients have rehired Eric across multiple years — one has had him painting rooms throughout their home since 2019, another brought him back in 2026 to finish three more sides of their house after a 2024 restoration job, and a third has used him for both their home and their business. A recurring theme in the reviews is his comfort with older and historic homes: reviewers describe an 1890 stick-style Victorian restoration, an 1885 historical house with gingerbread trim, and a 200-plus-year-old home in Townsend, MA that needed extensive repair before painting. A 2025 review describes hiring him specifically to repaint a detached garage covered in flaking lead paint and praised the care he took navigating that job. Multiple reviewers also mention competitive pricing, including one who said his detailed estimate came in lower than four other quotes they'd gathered. BuildZoom lists an active EPA Renovation (RRP) license under his name, which governs lead-safe work practices — relevant given the lead-paint and older-home jobs reviewers describe. New Hampshire has no statewide license for painting contractors, so there's no state registry check to report either way. Anyone considering Perfectionist Painting can expect a solo operator handling every step personally rather than a crew-based company, which reviewers consistently describe as a strength rather than a limitation — Eric is described as hands-on, communicative, and thorough from the first estimate through the final coat.
