RightSized Living helps people downsize and move, often a parent leaving a longtime home for assisted living. The company describes itself as a single point of contact for clients, their families, caregivers and housing administrators through the whole relocation process. A recent customer said the company helped their dad and stepmom downsize from their longtime home and move into assisted living, keeping the project organized and on schedule. A recent customer who downsized a home of 48 years said the owner gave clear information about the costs, and that within 30 days items had been auctioned, donated or removed by dumpster. A 2024 customer said they packed everything, staged a condo for listing photos and organized the movers on the day of the move. A recent buyer at one of its online auctions said a furniture item came from a home overwhelmed with cigarette smoke and that the damage was not disclosed. A recent customer picking up from an auction said it took over an hour to bring items out and that the items smelled of cigarettes.
We had an outstanding experience with Right Sized Living helping my dad and stepmom downsize from their longtime home and move into assisted living. From the beginning, we knew this was going to be much more than a simple move. We had a firm schedule to meet with a tremendous amount of work to accomplish, but the project was also very emotional. We were leaving a longtime home, deciding what to bring, and creating a new home in a much smaller space. The Right Sized Living team handled both sides of that challenge exceptionally well. They kept the project organized and on schedule, coordinating all of the details necessary to get my dad and stepmom successfully moved into their new apartment. At the same time, they never lost sight of the fact that downsizing is an emotional experience. The team was patient, compassionate and respectful throughout the process. What impressed me most was the effort the team made to really get to know my stepmom. They listened to her, learned what she liked and understood her personal style rather than simply deciding what they thought would look good in the new apartment. That became incredibly apparent on move-in day. Right Sized Living handled the setup of the new apartment and then brought my stepmom in for the big "reveal." The apartment didn't just look beautiful, it looked like their home. The furniture, artwork, accessories and personal touches were arranged in a way that reflected my stepmom's style remarkably well. The best testament to how well they understood her is that a week after they moved in, almost nothing was changed. She loved it exactly as they had created it. For our family, Right Sized Living turned what could have been an overwhelming and emotional transition into a well-managed and genuinely positive experience. They delivered on organization, coordination and schedule, but their sensitivity to the family going through a difficult transition is what really sets them apart. I would highly recommend Right Sized Living to any family helping parents or loved ones downsize and transition to a new home.
I can’t thank RSL enough for a seamless move! Communication was amazing, entire team is top notch. The ease at which they made me feel was so appreciated. The entire process far exceeded any expectations I had and I will be referring this company any chance I get! Thank you RSL for your professionalism, expertise and amazing service
Horrible company, the most disorganized chaotic pickup from an auction ever. They took over an hour to bring items out. I would not recommend them at all. On top of that the items from the sale all stink of cigarettes and that was not disclosed!
Wow! This company is amazing. My 82 yr old mom has been having health issues and my 90 yr old dad was having his own limitations. It became clear that they needed to move from their home to assisted living. I was completely overwhelmed with the demands of healthcare and getting house downsized, ready to sell and the move to their new apartment at a facility. This company sent us the most compassionate, patient and happy staff members (Shana, Megan and Katie - my angels!!)to whip the house into shape. They worked with us on organizing, decision making, packing, moving and setting up their new space beautifully. When I thought things were hopeless and completely unmanageable - they showed up and waved their magic wands and relieved my stress immediately! Do not hesitate to use this company - you and your back will be so happy you did!! Thanks to all!
If you need someone to move a loved one, these are the people to do it. The people who they send are fantastic. They are organized, thorough, and NICE. And, their rates are reasonable. Seriously look no further-----hire Right Sized Living.
