Phillip F. Gaudette Construction has been doing residential remodeling work out of Canton for decades, with a permit record on BuildZoom stretching back to 2010 and Angi listing the company at 39 years in business. The jobs on file run from full kitchen and bathroom remodels to additions, dormers, and window replacement — the kind of project list a homeowner keeps a contractor around for across several rounds of work. That's the pattern reviewers describe: one Houzz customer, on their fourth project with Phil, calls the crew reliable after a two-bathroom renovation done on time and within budget. Another hired him for a kitchen remodel and points to the same things — he stayed on schedule, kept communicating, and held the budget. Even a small half-bathroom addition got treated seriously rather than brushed off, and a pair of 2016 reviews describe an exterior refresh (rotting trim replaced, painting, a new exterior door) alongside a larger upstairs renovation. Two older Angi reviews from 2008 tell the same story — showed up when he said he would, delivered quality work, and left customers recommending him to others. Houzz backs this up with a 5.0-star average across 21 ratings and three consecutive Best of Houzz Client Satisfaction awards from 2014 through 2016. Worth asking about before booking: BuildZoom lists four separate Massachusetts contractor licenses under the company's name — two Home Improvement Contractor registrations, a Construction Supervisor license, and another HIC number — and shows all four as inactive or cancelled, alongside a company score of 0 and no customer reviews of its own on that platform. Houzz's listing simply notes a Massachusetts CSL and HIC license without a number, so it's worth confirming current licensing status directly before signing anything. For a homeowner planning a kitchen, bath, addition, or exterior project who wants a contractor with a long, consistently positive project history, Phillip F. Gaudette Construction fits the bill — just verify the license situation and get a current quote, since most of the reviews here date from 2016 to 2019, with two older ones from 2008.

Phil was great! Renovated 2 bathrooms. Great ideas and very professional. His crew is also great. Phil completed the job on time and within budget. This was our 4th project using Phil and he has never disappointed us. We will definitely be using him again.
We hired Phil to remodel our kitchen and are very happy with the results. Phil was on schedule and communicated with us during the whole process. The design and quality are top notch. Phil also stuck to the budget which was appreciated. I would highly recommend Phil and his team.
Initially I was unsure if anybody would take a small job seriously. My goal was to add a half bathroom in a small space. Phil not only responded to my call, but treated me as an individual with a very important job for him. I never felt that my small job was too insignificant or that I was put on the "back burner" . He responded professionally ,built the cutest most efficient space and I was thrilled with the finished product. It was so enjoyable working with Phil, his problem solving skills and eye for style resulted in a lovely bathroom. He was timely, extremely tidy and respectful when working in my home. I would be pleased to recommend Phil for any job, large or small, like mine.
My husband and I were in the market for replacement windows and were referred to Phil Gaudette through friends who found him on the Houzz website...After contacting and meeting with Phil, we came to terms that fit our budget, the style and type of window we wanted installed....Phil and his crew installed, the replacement windows in our home and they did a fantastic job....From the estimate through job completion, they were prompt, professional and polite and especially cleaned up nicely! I would highly recommend them to anyone planning to do remodeling to their homes.
I've now used Phil on two separate projects. The most recent involved an exterior refresh of our home which included replacement of rotting wood trim with pic, painting and exterior door replacement. The first was a much more involved project which included gutting our two upstairs baths, creation of a new walk in closet in our master bed room, building new railings and banisters for the stairs leading to our 2nd floor and replacing all of our old crappy carpeting with hardwood floors. The common denominator for both projects was Phil's attention to detail, his desire to insure his customers are happy with the results and to go the extra mile when unexpected events occur, which happens on every project. His crews are friendly, polite and neat. They arrive when they say they will and they are all business. I will use Phil again on future projects and would highly recommend him to others.
