A customer in a 2023 review drove from Long Island because Pioneer Glass had P3 wavy cabinet glass in stock; they cut and fitted it inside an hour. Another that year, restoring a 1926 Tudor in Birmingham, Alabama, called after their own local restoration-glass supplier closed and needed three replacement panes. This Whitinsville shop still makes period glass, and that is why people find it from states away. Closer to home it is a full custom glass shop. The Brunell family owns it — Nancy Brunell as owner, her husband Dave as general manager — with a sister window-treatment company at the same address. In a 2022 review, a homeowner refinishing historic double-hung windows in a 1923 house was delighted to find Pioneer does double-pane units with period wavy glass, and ordered it for every pane in the house. Shower glass is the steady work. In a March 2026 review, two bath and shower doors went in inside a day, with the installers cleaning up as they went. In a 2023 review, another customer's installers worked around imperfections in the wall so the glass fit properly. That reviewer had taken three quotes; Pioneer sent a schematic of the door and a proposal with the options laid out plainly. They also fix what most companies want to replace. In a 2022 review, a household had fogged glass from broken seals swapped in nine windows, along with the glass in a sliding door and a new walk-in shower door. When one of those panes turned out to have a defect nobody spotted until it was installed, they reordered and replaced it. A 2025 reviewer put it plainly: more efficient and more affordable than full replacements. The one bad experience is from 2020. Replacing a mirror in a dresser hutch, the shop used staples of the wrong length and they came through the finished wood on the front. They rang the customer themselves to say so. On Google the company holds 4.9 stars across 113 ratings, Houzz shows 4.8 from 17, and the BBB grade is A+. For antique or restoration glass, a shower enclosure cut to an out-of-square wall, or fogged double-pane units you would rather not replace whole, this is a direct call. If you want blinds or shades as well, ask which of the two Pioneer companies is quoting, since the window treatments come from the sister business.
