One May 2026 customer with a clogged kitchen sink and a dead disposal left a message, got a quick call back, took a cancellation slot 30 minutes out, and received a text with the technician's name and photo before Enrique called from the road with an ETA. Plumbing Solutions runs out of Dedham and describes itself as a residential plumbing, drain cleaning and heating and gas piping company for the greater Boston area, covering Norfolk, Middlesex, Plymouth and Suffolk counties. The company says it has been at this more than 20 years and was formerly TJ Sullivan, Inc., and its site lists membership in the PHCC and the Radiant Panel Association. On Google it holds 4.9 stars across 1,214 ratings, with written reviews going back to 2018. The jobs customers describe are the unglamorous, get-someone-here-today kind, handled with some patience. A June 2026 reviewer had a bathroom sink drain cleared in under an hour, the day after calling, by a plumber using an air-pressure device. Another in June 2026 watched Yaakov work an earring out of a sink drain after it turned out to be harder than expected. In a May 2026 job, Yakov spent 5.75 hours on a shower without a break to make it accessible for a 99-year-old homeowner. A disabled veteran with back problems wrote in June 2026 that Jake did all the moving during a toilet replacement and kept the cat from getting out. When a spigot snapped off a house at around 4 PM in an April 2026 review, forcing the main off, Enrique was there the next morning with a quote. What comes up against that is price. A two-star April 2026 review says the company quoted almost $1,000 to replace a hose spigot and a shut-off valve, most of it parts markup the customer put at over 400 percent, and that another licensed plumber did the work instead. A solid call for a burst spigot, a water heater that quit, or a drain you need cleared today. Ask for the parts-and-labor breakdown in writing before the work starts, and whether the service fee is credited toward the job if you go ahead.
