Potter's Oil Service delivers heating oil in the Windham, Connecticut area and works on the furnaces and boilers it fuels. A 2026 customer said they had been with the company for almost 19 years, that it replaced two furnaces for them in two different homes, and that it was responsive for heating issues and quick oil deliveries. A 2024 customer said they called Potter's for the first time when their usual company could not come for several days, were told two days, and found the oil delivered first thing the next morning. In a 2025 review, a customer described a steam heating system that clanged, leaked and had radiators not heating; Rick and a service tech came out and had the issues fixed within five minutes. A 2025 customer said Potter's helped with a replacement oil burner and called its oil delivery reliable. A 2023 customer said Dylan diagnosed a furnace giving off an oil smell quickly. A 2025 customer complained that the company charged a stored card without permission and had the driver fill the tank without asking how much fuel was wanted. A 2026 customer said they were called a liar over the phone about how little oil they used with a wood stove as the main heat. The company describes itself as offering residential and commercial oil delivery along with propane cooking fuel, and says it has been in business 96 years. Its BBB page shows an A+ grade and accreditation.

We’ve been customers for almost 19 years, and the service has always been excellent. They’ve replaced two furnaces for us (in two different homes), and they are always responsive when we have a heating issue or need quick oil delivery. We’ve never had any problems — customer service is consistently friendly, reliable, and efficient. They usually know my address as soon as I give them my name, which says a lot about how well they know their customers!

Strongly wouldn’t recommend, very unprofessional customer service. Was an existing costumer until I was called a liar over the phone ,person couldn’t seem to fathom that using a wood-stove to heat your house and oil as a back up means you don’t go through a lot of oil. Very disgusted with the whole situation.Will be searching for a new local oil supplier.
