PowerHorse Plumbing LLC

A pipe let go, and by that same morning the owner was at the house with one of his plumbers — stopping the leak first, then working out what the permanent repair would take. That March 2026 account is PowerHorse Plumbing in miniature: a small Methuen shop people call when water is going somewhere it shouldn't. Justin Pen runs it. His Massachusetts master plumber licence, #16926, is active on the state registry. The company's own site adds a Massachusetts plumbing corporation number and New Hampshire master plumber and gas fitter numbers, and BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts plumbing business licence, #5022, for the company along with three permitted plumbing and gas jobs in 2025 running from $650 to $25,000. Its BBB page is an A+, without accreditation. Speed is what customers write about. In a March 2026 review, a homeowner with a run of faucet, shower, toilet and laundry-line problems had an estimate within 24 hours of first contact and the work finished inside the week, with Justin and Ed doing it. A September 2025 customer called about a leak and had Justin and Charley out the next day. Six of the twenty-seven reviewers put a word to the price — fair, honest or reasonable — and one September 2025 review notes he arrived exactly when he said he would and quoted before starting. Tankless water heaters come up more than once: two March 2025 reviewers had Navien units serviced and descaled, and a Thumbtack customer that September said he walked through the whole water-heater problem and left the house spotless. The work is not all small, either. An October 2025 reviewer had all-new piping run through a commercial property, and a June 2025 reviewer who hires him at the MSPCA's Nevins Farm said he has covered jobs big and small there, including a same-day call. Two things to settle before booking. If your job is over the New Hampshire line, ask to see the New Hampshire master plumber and gas fitter licences the company lists on its own site — the Massachusetts master plumber licence is the one confirmed on the state registry. And this is a genuinely small operation: its BBB listing shows one employee and Thumbtack shows two, so for anything that isn't an emergency, ask where you land in the schedule. For a leak, a water heater or a round of fixture work around the Merrimack Valley, this is a direct call — and if you have a commercial property, say so up front, since that is work he has done.
