When the AC quits on the first hot day, Caron Heating & Cooling is the kind of company people say shows up the same day. In a May 2026 Google review, a customer whose AC shut down on the first 95-degree day had a technician there by 11:30 the next morning; another that month called at 11:30 and was repaired by 2:20. The Methuen HVAC company says Chris Caron founded it in 2006 with one truck and runs it with his wife Stacy, and it also does plumbing and whole-home generators. Christopher P. Caron's Massachusetts sheet metal licence (10117-SM-J1) is active. It holds 4.9 stars across 687 Google ratings, and Reddit commenters on r/LowellMA and r/massachusetts have recommended it several times since 2024; one in November 2025 said the company won't try to sell you anything you don't need. Heat pumps come up often: a June 2025 Reddit commenter switched to heat pumps with Caron, and a July 2026 customer described a new furnace, heat pump and water heater installed by a crew led by Johnathan. In a June 2025 review, a Methuen customer said Bill Dastou designed a central AC system around an older furnace and tight space, and a three-person crew installed it in one day. The one detailed complaint is from July 2025: a customer with a leaking evaporator coil said two technicians on two visits could not fix it, and the second charged $189 for taping it up.

“exactly what I came here to say – Caron Heating and Cooling”
Great experience with Caron Heating and Cooling. Top notch service and communication from beginning to end of as large project to install new furnace, heat pump, and water heater. From the quoting process to the scheduling, everything went perfectly. The job came out great. Crew (Johnathan was lead) was fantastic, meticulous, and kept us informed the whole way through. Went over everything in detail as far as how the different systems operated. Cleaned up the work area in a pristine way so you never knew such a large project just went on. Highly recommend this company for all your heating/coolong needs! 5 stars all the way around for sure.
Drew was very professional and quite thorough in cleaning debris out of the drain tubes leading to the HVAC condensate pump. He also was very courteous and well spoken. I would have given him an 11 out of 10 rating if it was possible.
Very professional and efficient
