One homeowner had been told a 150-square-foot shed would take two days to come down. In a June 2023 review, they wrote that Pre-Set America did it in one. That is the kind of work this Malden company is called for — demolition: interior tear-outs, above-ground pools, decks, sheds — run by Mali Washington, who is named in six of the fifteen reviews customers have left. What comes up most is what the crew leaves behind. Eight of those fifteen reviews mention the cleanup. A customer who had a big demo done on the third floor of their house in April 2024 said the place was immaculate when the crew left; an August 2024 reviewer described the removal and demo done with minimal damage and dust, the whole area vacuumed, at a reasonable price. In July 2026 a customer said everything was clean and neat afterwards, and the price was good too. Speed sits alongside it. A June 2022 customer got an estimate on an above-ground pool removal the same day, and the following week the pool was out in one day — the crew also took care of an anchor someone had left behind it. An August 2021 reviewer said the work went as planned and the team helped out with plumbing issues that came up once the demo was done. Two things to raise up front. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #198594, is expired. And a January 2021 customer — who still called the crew on time, fast and courteous — wrote that removing an above-ground pool is a very expensive job, and was unsure whether they should have asked more questions before it started. The stars are not uniform either: Google, Angi and HomeAdvisor all sit at 5.0, while Thumbtack's nine ratings average 4.8, with one rating at three stars. For a straightforward tear-out — a pool and its decking, a shed, a floor stripped back to the studs — with the site swept at the end, reviews going back to 2020 keep describing exactly that. Before booking, get the demolition price itemized in writing, and ask where the registration stands.
