Pride Services and General Contracting is a one-man outfit built around Joe Huber, who's been doing interior and exterior painting, small repairs, and remodeling jobs out of Attleboro, Massachusetts since 1995. Across 144 Angi ratings the average sits at 4.9, and 98% of them are five stars — a rare spread for a contractor with this much history on the platform. What the reviews describe, again and again, is the same guy showing up and getting it right: painting a townhouse interior for the fourth time in a 2020 review, stripping and repainting the clapboards and window trim on a house in a 2025 review, fixing a broken cabinet track, installing a new faucet and ceiling fan, hanging a safety bar in a shower for a customer whose other three calls went nowhere. A 2025 review described a full first-floor bathroom remodel — new toilet, vanity, and tile from start to finish. Punctuality and communication come up constantly: reviewers use words like "punctual," "transparent," and "kept me updated," and more than one mentions this being their second or fourth time hiring him. The written record runs deep — a 2019 review sits alongside one from this July — and the tone barely wavers; there's no pattern of complaints to weigh against the praise. What's worth knowing before calling: BuildZoom lists a Rhode Island residential contractor registration for the company marked "Active" but also shows it with a May 2008 expiration date from BuildZoom's own last check, and separately lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration as inactive. Houzz shows a self-reported Massachusetts and Rhode Island builder's license and a home improvement license, neither independently verified. None of that is a registry confirmation either way, so it's worth asking Joe directly about current license status before signing anything. For a repaint, a stack of small fixes, or a single-room remodel in the Attleboro/North Attleborough area, the track record here is about as consistent as they come — the same name recurs on the "hired him again" list more than once. Confirm current license status and get a firm timeline before the work starts.
