Rich and his team helped us create an amazing addition to extend our second floor over our garage for a new master bedroom with his/hers walk-in closets and an en suite master bath. After vetting several contractors, we chose Rich and his carpenter, Jay, because they not only looked at our project from a building standpoint, but also from a livability / usability standpoint. They offered creative ideas and helpful suggestions to bring our vision to life - all from just a few amature sketches! All of his subcontractors were also a real pleasure to work with. From the tilers to the painters and the siders to the electricians, all were extremely nice, respectful and safe. Our dog misses them all a lot! Any renovation can be stressful, but Rich was always calm and confident. He would offer solutions alongside any issues that arose and was transparent about how timelines may be impacted. The biggest thing we would've appreciated more of was just proactive communication for updates - even if just to say he was waiting for a response. But, he was always reachable and got back to us in a timely manner for our questions. All in all, our project lasted 6 months - from demo to the final driveway paving - and we're thrilled with the results!

We hired RHBCD to complete a full house renovation. This involved extensive work of our roof, dormer addition, two full bathroom remodels, kitchen remodel, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, all while living in our home at the same time. Our expectations were high, making a large investment for the future. Rich constantly met and many many times exceeded these expectations! Living in the home at the same time, created MANY obstacles, which never were a challenge for RHBCD. They constantly communicated with us with updates, progress, and options along the way. The entire crew was very respectful of our home, and our privacy, even though it was a challenge with us living here. We set a budget for the project with Rich, and understood that with so many things being done to our home, things were bound to happen. We have heard the horror stories of bad contractors, and having never done anything close to this large level of a project, were worried we’d fall victim to the same. Rich eased these worries from the very first meeting. Rich was very professional with all of the invoicing, explaining any questions we had, and MOST importantly, RHBCD followed this budget to the T!!! There were so many moving pieces with our house renovation, deadlines were important to keep the project moving, and not delay any work or tradesmen from doing their part. RHBCD coordinated all of it. A family member from CA came for Thanksgiving, who has been a carpenter for over 42 years, continuously was pointing out the high quality of the work all throughout the house. He even noticed things that I hadn’t, and I’ve been living in it every day! The decision we made to hire RHBCD was an absolute success!
