R. Smith Oil Heating & Cooling, LLC says on its website that it delivers heating oil and diesel fuel and does heating repairs across southern Rhode Island, and that it has been in business 28 years. A recent Google customer on auto delivery said Ruben, the owner, came to the door and chose not to fill a tank that was about 3/4 full because he was hoping prices would moderate. That customer wrote that the company has always been fair and very consistent with its auto deliveries. A 2026 customer said the company sent someone out the same day for furnace issues and resolved them quickly for a fair price. A 2026 customer said they got same-day delivery and that driver Eric was great. In 2025, a Nextdoor post from North Kingstown said R Smith Oil in Exeter serves all of south county and most of Kent County, with fair-priced same-day service.
