Ramey Building and Remodeling

Ramey Building and Remodeling is a Belmont-based residential and commercial builder run by Ernest E Ramey, offering kitchen, bathroom and basement remodels, additions, custom carpentry and interior remodeling. Permit records on file are varied in scale — a $4,000 basement drywall job in Fitchburg, a $729,500 single-family dwelling in Taunton, a $487,000 school field building in Newton Center, a church roof-truss repair in Milton, and a 3-car garage in Danvers. Two recent 2024 permits are in Methuen: stair and roof work at Notre Dame school in January, and a $29,800, 29-window replacement in June. Before hiring, the licensing picture is worth sorting out directly with the state. BuildZoom lists six separate license records tied to this business across five license types and two states: a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor license shown active, a City of Newton building/residential license listed cancelled, two different Massachusetts home improvement contractor registrations (#141216 and #173499) both cancelled, and a Rhode Island residential contractor license whose status field reads Active even though BuildZoom's own text says it expired back in December 2010.
