Thirty-five years after RD Fence put a fence around one Billerica backyard, the homeowner ran into Rick, mentioned the gate had gone off balance, and got it sorted — a story posted in a March 2025 review, and a fair shorthand for what this North Billerica company trades on. It is a fence contractor and a supply yard both, family-owned, working vinyl and PVC, wood, aluminum, chain link and post-and-rail for houses and commercial sites, plus arbors, pergolas, bollards and lamp posts. The company says it started in 1972 and has covered eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire since. The written history is deep and unusually steady: 4.5★ across 62 Google ratings, 37 written accounts running 2022 to this summer, nine of them in the last six months with no negative among them. Names recur the way they do at a small shop — Tyler leading crews, Rick out taking measurements, Sue running the office — and so do repeat customers, several of whom mention hiring the company a second or third time. In May 2026 a homeowner watched the old fence come out and roughly three-quarters of a new vinyl one go up the same day. A July 2026 customer described the same rhythm: measurements within a few days, updates at every step. The April 2026 account is the one that carries weight — the fence went in during fall 2025 and the customer deliberately waited months before writing. The two low scores are both about the front half of the job rather than the fence itself. In April 2024, a customer wrote that they put $1,000 down for an August installation, heard nothing by October, called repeatedly without a callback, and only heard from the office around Thanksgiving. A September 2023 reviewer rented a truck to collect a gate and small fence after being told the order was ready, and it wasn't. Scheduling and order status, in other words — not workmanship. For a straightforward residential fence line this is a long-established outfit: an A+ BBB grade, accredited there since 1995, and a 5-year installation warranty stated on its own site. Get the install window in writing when you sign, and confirm material color and stock before you drive out for a pickup.

RD fence is the fence company you want to go with! They are reliable, efficient and keep you updated every step of the way. Rick came within a few days to take measurements and envision exactly what I wanted in a fence. Tyler and the guys were fantastic! They worked hard through the heat and the challenges of us growing of our grass. They got the fence up in no time. I would recommend RD fence to any of our friends or family !

RD Fence is a must hands down! We had them replace our current fence as well as put up a privacy fence in the back and everything came out exactly how we wanted and more. Not only is the fence beautiful but the customer service and the crew were professional, caring, and efficient—they even bumped up our timeline so it would be ready for an event we were holding in our back yard. If you need a new fence or replacing an old one look no further—you will not be disappointed.
