Realistic Construction says on its website that it is based in South China, Maine, and does new construction and renovation. In a 2025 review, a customer said a wind storm dropped a tree on the roof of their lake cabin and exposed the interior. That 2025 customer said Matt removed the tree and secured the roof right away, then, once the insurance company approved it, rebuilt the interior walls and ceilings and put on a new metal roof. The same 2025 review lists roof truss repair, new drywall ceilings and painting of the bedroom walls among the work. A 2026 customer said the company installed two exterior French doors and made sure they were aligned, sealed and working smoothly. A 2026 reviewer wrote that Matt and the crew had done several jobs for them over a few years, on the estimate, and pointed out and fixed problems other companies had left. In a 2025 review, a writer who said they are a GC with over 30 years in construction in Maine and NH said they had known Matt for nearly 20 years and had Realistic do many jobs with them and for them. The Better Business Bureau gives the business an A+ grade, and its BBB description lists roofing, roof snow removal, snow plowing and decks among its work.
Realistic Construction did an absolutely outstanding job installing our two exterior French doors. From start to finish, their professionalism, craftsmanship, and attention to detail were top-notch. The installation was precise, the doors look beautiful, and everything was done efficiently and cleanly. They took the time to make sure everything was perfectly aligned, sealed, and functioning smoothly. It’s clear they take pride in their work. We couldn’t be happier with the results and would highly recommend Realistic Construction to anyone looking for quality work and reliable service.
We've had Matt and the Realistic Construction crew do several jobs over the last few years and all were done expertly, on the estimate and promptly. They have even taken it upon themselves to point things out and fix things that were not done correctly by other companies when they notice something, even if those fixes are unrelated to what they are working on. They do a great job at cleanup when they are done. Won't hesitate to give them a call when we have another project.
A terrific wind storm took down trees all around our cabin on the lake. One tree landed on the roof and exposed the interior. I called Matt and his response was immediate. He removed the tree from the roof and secured the damaged roof to prevent any water damage. After he got the go ahead from the insurance company he rebuilt the interior walls and ceilings and installed a new roof. The area around the house was cleared and restored. I was impressed. He responded to protect the house and when he started the reconstruction Matt and his crew finished it without any delay. This job required removal of many large trees. Repair and replace roof trusts. New drywall ceilings. Paint job to restore the bedroom walls and ceilings. The roof was replaced completely with a new metal roof. Im letting you know the extent to what they encountered. If you need someting done don't hesitate to call them.
Matthew Rewa is a very hard worker and gets the job done. All jobs have come out beautiful and right confident it will last a long time.
