Red Star Restoration describes itself on its BBB page as offering water and fire damage restoration, mold remediation and cleaning services, and its website says it has been in business 15 years. A recent Google customer said Steve and his team restored their basement after it flooded. A recent customer said Steve told them what services were needed and didn't try to force them to add extra services. In a 2025 review, a customer described a washing machine overflow on the third floor of a condo that leaked through the ceiling; Steve came out the next day with dehumidifying units and humidity tests. That 2025 customer said Red Star's portion of the job was the mitigation, pack-out, demolition and pack-in, while other contractors replaced and restained the flooring. A 2025 Thumbtack customer said Steve conducted a thorough inspection for a mold remediation and explained the process in detail. A 2026 customer said Steve had black mold gone fast. A 2023 customer said they dried the water, fixed the mold that grew and did the drywall repair. A 2025 customer said Dave came right out and cleaned a dryer vent pipe.
