We had Dan from Renaissance Hardwood Floors LLC refinish the hardwood floors in our living room and kitchen. The kitchen was in tough shape after years of rolling chairs and heavy traffic, with worn-through and stained areas. The living room had rugs over parts of it, so the exposed sections had been sun-bleached into a completely different color. Dan breathed new life into both rooms — they honestly look brand new. He's a detail-oriented, hard worker and finished the whole job in a couple of days. He used a penetrating oil finish rather than polyurethane, and he was genuinely helpful about ongoing care, walking me through how to clean and maintain the floors and what product to use. He said I should be good for six to eight years before needing a maintenance coat. Hopefully he's still around then — I'd have him back without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Hired Renaissance Hardwood to refinish red oak flooring and a parquet hallway. Our goal was to restore the floor back to its natural color with a more matte finish. Out of all the contractors who came to give us a quote, Dan asked us the most questions about what we were looking for, went over options, and provided the most honest information about what outcome we could expect. He was able to work with us on scheduling so the work was performed while we were away on a trip. We came back to a brilliantly done floor. The finish is flawless and gorgeous. He replaced several boards which had been damaged by cat urine and I cannot find where the replacement was done. He also did an excellent job on dust control and cleaning. I've already recommended him to one other person and will continue to do so. Thanks Dan!
