RestoreMasters is a national roofing and restoration contractor built around one recurring job: getting a storm-damaged roof back on after a hurricane, hailstorm, or tornado, then handling the insurance claim that pays for it. Headquartered in Irving, Texas, the company says it has been doing this since 2006 and, per a 2020 trade-press profile, now operates in all 50 states; its own site lists a service area running from Denver and Phoenix to Tampa, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale. On Google, RestoreMasters holds a 4.6★ average across 77 ratings, and it carries an A+ grade with BBB accreditation. The reviews that keep repeating describe crews who show up after a storm, manage the insurance paperwork end to end, and leave a finished roof — from a self-storage facility that got 299 doors and a full roof replaced after wind and hail damage, to a homeowner whose tile roof was patched within days of a hurricane. Several customers single out individual project managers, like Justin Ford and Ivan Hinojos, for staying in touch through a long claims process. The complaints track a fairly consistent theme: communication breaking down once a claim gets complicated. A review from August 2026 described a frustrating experience during a commercial roof insurance claim, and two reviews from 2025 reported unfinished work — bubbling on a completed roof and a job site left with nails and debris. A 2025 review also described paying $12,000 for a temporary tarp with no guarantee it would hold. Separately, a BBB review alleges the company has been slow to pay subcontractors and suppliers, and another describes property damage during a roofing job — complaints that sit right alongside the company's own A+ BBB grade on the same profile. Before booking, it's worth asking who the actual project manager will be and getting a clear, written timeline for the insurance-claim process specifically, since that's where both the praise and the complaints cluster. The company's Florida general contractor and roofing contractor registrations are listed on its own site rather than something verified against a state registry here. RestoreMasters looks like a reasonable call for a homeowner or property manager facing a storm-damaged roof and an insurance claim they'd rather not navigate alone — the volume of specific praise for exactly that situation is hard to miss. The complaints suggest asking pointed questions up front about communication and getting commitments in writing before the crew starts.

Poor Communication and a Very Frustrating Experience.. Unfortunately, my experience with this roofing company during my commercial roof insurance claim has been extremely frustrating. The roofing company was working alongside the public adjuster (the public adjuster they hired). About a month ago, I had a phone conversation with Forest regarding the next step, which was obtaining an engineering report costing approximately $5,500. Based on that conversation, my clear understanding was that the cost of the engineering report would be fronted and then reimbursed from any additional funds recovered from the insurance claim. After that conversation, I heard nothing further, so I assumed the engineering process was moving forward. Then I received an update from the public adjuster stating that their management had never approved fronting the engineering costs and that I would need to pay the expense myself if I wanted to continue pursuing the claim. When I questioned this because it was completely different from what Forest had communicated to me, public adjuster responded that he was not sure what happened with the communication and that he had never approved fronting the expert costs. That left me wondering why I was told something different in the first place. This claim has already been a long and exhausting process. When a roofing company is working with a public adjuster on a major insurance claim, I expect everyone involved to communicate with each other before financial arrangements involving thousands of dollars are discussed with the customer. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, but when we're talking about a $5,500 expense, there shouldn't be this much confusion about who approved what and who is ultimately responsible for paying it. After all of the back and forth and lack of clear communication, I ultimately decided to close everything out rather than continue pursuing the claim. Very disappointing experience, especially after the amount of time invested in this process.
In late 2023, our self storage facility suffered wind and hail damage. After a good bit of delay caused by the public adjuster and the insurance company, Restoremasters (RM) was given the job of replacing 299 self storage doors, an asphalt shingle roof on a house, and making assorted other repairs. RM did an excellent job. The repairs were made on time, and under proper supervision and security. Communication was good, and RM’s personnel were highly professional and efficient. Most importantly the job was done correctly. I would not hesitate to recommend RM to repair/replace a commercial building.
I would like to express my gratitude to Brian Shickey for his outstanding work in my front room. His professionalism, attention to detail, cleanliness, and commitment to quality were evident throughout the project. Additionally, he conducted himself with courtesy and respect. Based on my experience, I would rate his performance at the highest level. The results in my front room are excellent.
