Richards Corporation describes its work as vertical construction, concrete, site and road work, with projects ranging from full-scale retail development to institutional, office, religious, mid-rise housing, laboratory and hospital buildings. The company says it has been in business 59 years. A local news site has described it as a Terryville firm. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, number HIC.0563634, held by Richards Corporation, is active on the state registry. A 2024 customer said roads the company did in their area of Bristol are not flat and have bumps, and that their car was damaged after getting stuck where boards had not been placed over a ditch. In the same 2024 review, the customer said the company took a long time to respond to the concern.
“Richards Corporation, a Terryville firm, won the bid for the $4,099,707 project with the federal government paying for 80 percent of it and the state picking up the remaining 20.”
Great company
They don’t do good work. All the roads they did in my area are not flat. All the roads have bumps and they don’t have very good customer service and take forever to get back to any concern. I had got my car stuck on one of there areas a few workers were laughing about situation before I had to get out my car to ask for help. They lacked on placing boards on a ditch and now my car is damaged and they been dragging the situation asking for proof when they are still working in my area just further down I have a brand new car and damages were done bc there bad road jobs I only had car 2/3 months tops and now I have to come out pocket. I wouldnt hire them and if you don’t believe it just drive through divinity, west and park st and see for your self in Bristol.
