Ryan Olson learned the trade at Plymouth South High School, worked for a few local plumbers, then started his own shop — by his own account he has been at it on the South Shore for a little over twenty years. Massachusetts backs the credential: his plumber licence, 16811-PL-M, is active on the state registry with him as the holder of record. The business is small in the most literal sense. Its BBB profile lists one employee, Ryan Olson as president, a business start date of 1 January 2005, and an A+ grade, though it is not BBB accredited. Water heaters sit at the centre of the work — tank and tankless, installed, repaired and maintained — alongside gas piping, toilet repair and replacement, and drain cleaning. The heating half of the name is real too: boiler, hydronic and radiant heating service. He also plumbs new construction and commercial jobs, including restaurant work, and takes the plumbing scope on kitchen and bath renovations. The written history is short and dated. Two homeowners wrote in 2009. One had all the copper piping in their house replaced and described Ryan and his crew as neat and willing to stay late to finish the job; the other, hiring for a remodel, said he was the first to call back, arrived when promised, drove out on a Saturday afternoon through summer Cape Cod traffic, and stayed inside the estimate. Both recommended him. Those two accounts are seventeen years old, so they say more about how he started than about this year. One thing to pin down before you call: emergency coverage is contradictory on paper. BBB lists 24-hour emergency service among his offerings, while the Angi profile's FAQ states the company does not offer emergency services. Ask him directly which is true. For a licensed one-man plumber handling a water heater, a gas line, or the plumbing on a Plymouth-area renovation, this is a straightforward call. Ask for the references the company offers, since the public account of his work is old.
We had a large project to replace all the copper piping in our house. Ryan and his crew were very professional, great to work with and neat. They got the job done and stayed late to make sure that the job was completed to their and our satisfaction. Overall, we were very impressed.
We hired Ryan Olson, he was the first to call and returned all calls promptly. He arrived when promised and on time. He even drove to meet me in the middle of a Saturday afternoon (Cape Cod traffic in the summer). He was reasonably priced and stayed within the estimate. Ryan was courteous and met all of our requests. Of all the contractors we had in our home he was the best, we were very impressed with Ryan. We would definitely recommend him to our friends and we will use Service Magic for referrals for future projects. Thank you,
