A May 2026 customer had a large addition and a full kitchen renovation done, with plumbing and electrical that took real problem-solving along the way. Another, in February 2026, had 23 windows installed ahead of a hard winter. Porches turn up repeatedly — a back stairway and first-floor porch enclosed (May 2026), a front porch replaced with corner molding one reviewer singled out (November 2025), columns and a custom screen porch in 2023.
Accessibility work runs through the reviews too, and the company lists a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist credential. A June 2026 customer had a primary bath remodeled to make it more accessible; a 2023 homeowner had a first-floor bathroom gutted and a tub swapped for a walk-in shower with a bench, so they could live on one floor if they ever needed to.
How the jobs are run comes up as often as the finished product. A June 2026 customer said inspections and permitting were done quickly at each phase. The praise isn't only from homeowners: a specialty trade owner wrote in July 2025 about the company's pre-planning and its communication with subcontractors, and a subcontractor said much the same in October 2024. In March 2024, a reviewer wrote that a window cracked during their project was replaced at the company's own cost.
One customer had a different experience. In August 2025 a homeowner left the single one-star review here, over an estimate he was told would follow two weeks after Robert's site visit and that didn't arrive on time. Booking has been tight before, too — back in September 2021 a Reddit commenter hunting for a Norwood contractor reported that R. Way had no openings until November or later.
