S.E. Dougherty Remodeling is Sam Dougherty's one-person outfit out of Haverhill, and nearly everything known about the actual work is now almost two decades old. Angi's file shows a perfect 5.0 from six reviews, but every one of them dates to April through December 2008 — a dated record, not a missing one, and a real one: each names a specific small job (a door replacement, ceiling tile install, wallpaper removal, a window frame repair, vinyl flooring, a bathroom) in the $300–$1,500 range, praising Sam as professional, efficient and courteous, patient even when a supplier botched a delivery schedule. The one blemish in that set is a customer who liked the work and the price but wrote, "Cleanup is not too good though." Since then the paper trail goes quiet. BBB has no reviews, no complaints and no rating for the business at all — it says explicitly it lacks enough information to rate it — and the business isn't accredited.
