Santos Hardwood Floor and Construction runs out of Everett under the name Santiago A Santos, and the paper trail is much longer than the review trail: building-permit records tie 161 permitted projects to the business, 16 of them in the last three years, at a typical permit value around $11,000. That is a working crew with real jobs behind it. What is thin is what customers have said. Only three reviews exist at all, spread from 2022 to 2026, against a 4.3-star Google average from 11 ratings — not enough for anyone to lean on. The one recent account is a bad one. A homeowner who hired them for a roof in May 2026 described holes and shingles coming off within two weeks, and said the crew was slow to return and then very late in coming back to fix it. That is a single voice, but it is the newest one and it concerns work that failed quickly. The licensing picture is worth checking before you sign anything. BuildZoom's records show three inactive or cancelled registrations tied to this business — Newton building contractor and residential builder registrations, and a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration — and no active license it could verify, which is why its score sits at zero. Directory listings also carry two different addresses, one in Everett and one in Revere. The name says hardwood floors, but the recent complaint is about roofing and the permit history is general construction work. If you call them, ask directly whether flooring or exterior work is what they actually do day to day, get their current HIC registration number and check it against the state yourself, and get the scope and warranty in writing.

I hired them to do my roof and within two weeks there were massive holes and shingles flying off. When contacted they did not come immediately and then they were extremely late to come and fix the problem.

I had the chance to work with Leo recently, and let me just say, he knows his craft. You can tell right away they take pride in their work and truly care about the quality they deliver. Their attention to detail, responsiveness, and professionalism stood out big time
