Stone Doctors is a family-run stone and tile restoration company based in Everett, describing itself as serving the Greater Boston area since 1990; restoration work is personally handled by the owner, Steve. There isn't much written history to go on, and what's there is mixed. In a 2023 review, a customer whose antique inlaid marble table arrived from California damaged said Steve was upfront that the repair wouldn't be perfect, then did work she called great — the table meant a lot to her and she was glad to have it back. A 2024 review tells a different story: a marble floor refinishing job left the corners unbuffed and the baseboards damaged, describing the technician as difficult to work with. A third, shorter 2024 review calls the service simply good. On Google the business sits at 4.3 stars from four ratings; it isn't BBB accredited and carries no BBB rating. Worth asking about directly: the company's own site says it's been operating since 1990, while its BBB profile lists 23 years in business — those two accounts of its history don't line up, and BBB categorizes it under 'Window Glass' even though its own description and its customers' accounts describe stone, tile, and concrete restoration work. For a specialty repair — a damaged antique piece, a stone floor that needs refinishing — this is a business with real restoration experience behind it, but the finish-quality complaint from 2024 is worth raising directly before booking a larger job.

Professional stone restoration. Good service.
We had a marble floor refinished. The technician was very rude and difficult to talk with. He wanted to do as little as possible. Attention to detail was missing. He buffed with a round pad leaving all corners unfinished. It was an expensive job and, to meet my standards, I will havee to hand buff the corners. We will also have to have the baseboards repaired due to the damage.
I recently shipping a inlaid marble table from CA to MA and was heart broken when it arrived damaged. A coworker spoke very highly of Steve and the Stone Doctors so I called them up. He was able to come the same week and the work was GREAT. He was very clear it would not be perfect (which I totally understood) but he would do his best. Well his best was GREAT! Honestly I am so happy. This table means a lot to me and the fact that it is beautiful again means so much! THANK YOU!
