Scott Roofing Service, Inc

Scott Roofing Service is a Dracut, Massachusetts roofer that says it has covered the Merrimack Valley and nearby southern New Hampshire towns since 1971, working in asphalt shingle, metal, EPDM rubber and fluid-applied roofing along with vinyl siding. What's here to go on is thin and dated — three reviews, all from 2008. Two are detailed and positive: one credits the crew with diagnosing a complicated water-damage problem and laying out the necessary repairs clearly, the other praises a fast, competitively priced job with a clean site afterward. The third is sharply negative, calling the company the least professional and rudest it had hired. Permit records tied to the address list well over a hundred projects over the years, but only one in the past two years — activity that looks far lower than it once was. Worth confirming directly before booking: license numbers listed for the company differ between directories, and BuildZoom's own check of Massachusetts Consumer Affairs records found the home improvement contractor registration listed inactive and a construction supervisor license expired since December 2022 — none of it independently verified here. The company's own marketing is also inconsistent about tenure, citing 55 years in one place and 37 in another. For a homeowner weighing this one, the read is a roofer with real installation experience somewhere in its past but not much you can verify about its current standing — worth a direct conversation about active licensing and recent work before committing.
