SD Ireland Companies lists concrete construction, site work and excavation, ready-mix concrete, quarry and portable crushing, asphalt and paving, and precast concrete on its website. A wcax.com segment described it as a Williston-based construction firm. It holds a 3.7-star Google rating from 38 ratings and an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. In a 2025 Google review, a customer said the truck was positioned so the pour went smoothly, and that the material was the correct amount and delivery was on time. A 2022 customer said it was the only company that would deliver on a Saturday, and that the concrete hardened much faster than they were ready for. A recent Google customer called the temporary roadway at exit 16 "an abomination." A recent customer wrote that road ends in Saint Albans were not zero'd down as they should be when left for more than a day. A recent customer said its heavy trucks speed down North Avenue five days a week. In a 2025 review, a customer said one of its trucks hit their truck at an intersection and did not stop, and that the boss told them to make a claim on their insurance. In a 2026 r/burlington thread, a commenter who said they installed deck railings on a building as a subcontractor called it the worst crew they had worked with. A 2023 r/burlington commenter said they had to replace a windshield because of rocks coming off its trucks on 89.
“Residents and taxpayers have watched countless projects where crews appear to spend more time standing around than working, while municipalities continue to receive the bill.”
“ive had one sd Ireland truck pull out directly infront of me on the interstate from one of the turn around spots”
“A couple weeks ago a “overzealous employee” (words directly from the project engineer) decided to be a hero and do paving prep work from 1-4am, despite not being permitted until 5am.”
“I was a sub for this building. I installed those deck railings and did some finish work in the units. Worst crew I’ve ever worked with with sd Ireland .”
“Now it buys an SD Ireland-built, single floor, vinyl plank filled apartment with shared walls and builder’s grade amenities… wild.”
“our Kayla Martin visited with SD Ireland Companies, a Williston-based construction firm.”
No bump signs in Saint Albans ends are not zero’d down as they should be if you are leaving it like that for more that a day. Can tell they are new to milling
Sad to say, but this company puts lives in danger daily. Their large heavy trucks speed down North Avenue 5 days a week without a care in the world for pedestrians. Please halt your activities and make time to retrain basic safety to your operators.
Please do a better job of putting in temporary roadways. What you've done at exit 16 is an abomination.
🎄🚛✨ ⭐️ The SD Ireland Truck Rolls Into Town ⭐️ Nothing—and we mean nothing—announces the start of a Midd Stroll quite like the SD Ireland concrete truck rumbling into Middlebury covered in more lights than the Rockefeller Tree! The moment it turns the corner, the whole town lights up: • Kids press their faces to the windows. • Grown-ups grin like it’s Christmas morning. • Entire restaurants pause mid-bite to clap as it rolls past in full sparkling glory. It’s loud, it’s bright, it’s absolutely over the top… and we love it. Middlebury’s unofficial holiday hype machine, kicking off Very Merry Middlebury with pure joy, community cheer, and a little bit of concrete magic. When that truck arrives, you just know: the season has officially begun.
The men who drive these trucks are genuinely road raging lunatics that need the cops involved at this point. Their behavior on the road alone is enough for me to come review this place to caution others against supporting this business. How can you allow your drivers to act so recklessly with YOUR logos printed all over the vehicles?? Do better and employ better people.
