Quick water cleanup and difficult reconstruction experiences both feature in accounts of SERVPRO of Cheshire County. The company advertises water and fire damage restoration, mold remediation, construction and 24/7 emergency service, with a stated area including Keene, Jaffrey, Rindge, Walpole and nearby New Hampshire towns. Google shows 4.8 stars from 86 ratings. Recent customers describe crews explaining the work while cleaning up damage. A September 2026 reviewer said an attic-remediation team arrived on time each day, kept them informed and left the space clean. An August reviewer thanked David and Troy for cleaning their mother's basement after a water leak, and Will for his communication and patience. A July reviewer described help with winter ice damage, questions and insurance. The reconstruction side has drawn serious complaints. An October 2026 reviewer said remediation after a February pipe burst happened fairly quickly, but reconstruction did not start until June and finished in late July. They described an incorrectly installed window panel, damaged trim, mismatched stain, damage to existing walls and flooring separating after completion. They also said management threatened legal action unless they paid while they were seeking further corrections. Two March 2025 reviews describe other failures to follow through. One customer praised the initial drying work after burst pipes but said SERVPRO then abandoned the reconstruction estimate and stopped responding to both the customer and insurer. Another said an inspection and signed paperwork were followed by two months of unsuccessful insurance-company contact; a different company eventually handled the cleanup. An August 2025 reviewer, by contrast, said getting onto the construction schedule took time, but the drywall, floorboard, siding and painting work was swift once it began. Older accounts describe other completed work. In January 2025, a customer praised floor refinishing, wood finishing and basement vinyl installation after flooding. A January 2023 vent-cleaning review described sooty debris and a rattling vent after the first visit. The customer said owner Ryan called within minutes of their email, returned with a worker and resolved the problem; at the time of writing, a couple of weeks had passed without further issues.
“Today Derek and his brother Ryan are co-owners of Servpro of Cheshire County in Westmoreland, and Servpro of Windham and Windsor Counties, in Vermont.”
“SERVPRO of Cheshire County, New Hampshire and SERVPRO of Windham and Windsor Counties, Vermont recently announced new owners Ryan Paul and Derek Paul.”
“WESTMORELAND, N.H. – SERVPRO of Cheshire County, N.H., and SERVPRO of Windham and Windsor counties in Vermont are pleased to announce Ryan Paul and Derek Paul as their new owners.”
We hired SERVPRO of Cheshire County in good faith as experts who would be able to identify and fix damage to our home after a disaster. Instead, we have been caused nothing but stress and heartbreak. We wanted our home back to how it was and with the company motto of "like it never happened", it sure does look like it happened at our house still! SERVPRO does not care about you, your home, or the work they do. They have no accountability and will do anything to cut corners to save themselves a buck while you pay for shoddy work they refuse to take ownership for. Steer clear and choose a local remediation and construction company. SERVPRO is truly not worth the hassle. We had a pipe burst in February of 2026. Remediation happened fairly quickly and went well outside of some of our porch wall being damaged during the demolition process. We were assured that this would be addressed upon reconstruction (spoiler alert, it wasn't until we fought to get it fixed properly). Reconstruction didn't start until June and didn't finish until late July because of all of the issues we had. Please see attached pictures for more detail. Just a few things that we found after the FIRST time they "completed" job: 1. The window panel was reinstalled not only inside out, but also upside down! And we couldn't even rectify it ourselves because the crew nailed in the trim pieces instead of using the screws that should be used with the window installation. 2. The wood trim that had the broken window still had significant and apparent water damage. I question the integrity of it with said water damage visible. I apparently wrongly assumed that they would be sanded and restained IF they were viable to use, not just thrown back up with pieces missing, visible water damage and all. 3. The chosen stains were all drastically different from the original colors, and although we did OK the difference for the ceiling (which does look good!), that was also going to be used as the wall colors until we said something as it was about 10 shades too light. We were told it could be darkened to match, but the result was just crazy! It's like there was no effort made to match the colors whatsoever! The original color is a lighter more reddish color. It looked like we got a chocolate brown. 4. There was a LOT of damage done to our existing walls by the SERVPRO teams that was never replaced nor rectified. 5. The airtight zipper door left on the porch from remediation removed a majority of the paint from our door trim and was just left like that. 6. There were some floor boards that do seem to have excessive spacing which worries me for the future. (rightfully so as they are now coming apart) 7. There were areas that have excessive mess leftover. For every one thing that the workers "fixed" they broke equally as much of our home. Eventually we ended up having a meeting with the project manager and the general manager where we came to an agreement that we would have all of the walls on the porch replaced and stained properly. After all that we STILL found issues that were just brushed off by management. We have multiple trim pieces that have chunks missing or cracks all the way through, we have boards with most of the screws missing, every piece of window trim was installed incorrectly leaving every window unsecure, trim is in incorrect places, trim missing stain, and more. When trying to get further items fixed we were threatened with legal action unless we paid. We truly weren't trying to be difficult - we just wanted our home back to the way it was. Now, a couple of months after "completion" the floor is already coming up and away from the subflooring (no surprise given how "level" it is) and I have no confidence in the quality of any of the work done by SERVPRO. We had absolutely no faith in them to come back into our home and treat it and us with respect so we will deal with these issues on our own. If everything was simply done properly the first time around, we wouldn't be where we are now. Save your time, money, and sanity and go elsewhere!
I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Servpro. We had to have our attic remediated and the entire team, from Ashley, the project manager to Troy, Al and Tyson were awesome! They were here on time every day and worked diligently until the job was done. They kept us informed about everything they were doing and when they were done, everything was complete and impeccably clean and safe. Each team member made a very stressful ordeal a lot easier to handle! Servpro is who to call when their type of services are needed!!
James Dean went above and beyond:) He made sure that things ran smoothly and on time. He answered all my questions and was very professional.
I'd like to thank David S. and Troy R. for their hard work to clean up my Mom's basement after a water leak. Their communication, respect, kindness and hard work are so appreciated. I would not hesitate to call them again if we needed this service. I would also like to thank Will for his communication and patience since we have not dealt with a problem like this before.
I have worked a lot with Servpro and James! . These guys are amazing at the work they do and care about the work they do. Highly recommend
