Shawn’s Plumbing & Heating reads like a small North Andover plumbing-and-HVAC shop that people call when something has already gone sideways: no cooling during a hot stretch, a leaking water heater, a furnace that quit, or a shower that will not stop dripping. The company says it serves Essex County towns around North Andover and offers residential and commercial plumbing, heating, cooling, mini-splits, boilers, furnaces, water heaters and water filtration; its Massachusetts plumbing license is active. The recent customer pattern is unusually clear. On Google, the business has a 4.8 rating from 113 ratings, and the 2026 reviews keep returning to the same practical themes: quick responses, plain explanations, and pricing customers describe as fair. Recent examples include an air-conditioning failure handled during extreme heat, a same-day shower-valve fix after Shawn saw the issue at another job, a leaking water-heater replacement that came in under the original quote, and a furnace diagnosis one customer said took less than 10 minutes. There is also some independent credibility around the basics. BBB lists the business with an A+ grade, accreditation, and 18 years in business, while the company’s own site says Shawn has offered plumbing and HVAC services for more than 17 years. The same BBB profile identifies Mr. Shawn Sevoian as owner, which fits the very owner-operated feel customers describe when they talk about texting photos, getting explanations, and dealing directly with Shawn. The main thing to square before booking is the licensing/profile mismatch outside the state registry. BuildZoom’s profile for “Shawn S plumbing” lists 18 permitted projects but also a BuildZoom score of 0, no customer reviews, and an unverified license status with no active license on file; the Massachusetts registry, by contrast, verifies the plumbing license as active. There are also older low ratings in the review history, so a cautious homeowner should ask directly how post-install support and callbacks are handled. For water heaters, boilers, furnaces, AC/HVAC troubleshooting, and ordinary plumbing repairs around North Andover, this is a credible call with a deep recent run of positive customer comments. Before work starts, confirm the exact license name/number, scope, warranty terms, and what happens if a repair needs follow-up.

My air conditioning system failed (of course) during an extreme hot stretch. Shawn responded quickly, handled some complications expertly and got me up and running quickly. The system is performing beautifully. This guy really knows what he is doing. Price was very good too.

Dude is an absolute genius/savant/legend whatever you wanna call it. Not only for his insane knowledge and experience, but for how fast he works, how hard he works and how fair his pricing is. Will 1 million percent be only calling him for my plumbing/HVAC needs from now on. Thank you so much Shawn, you truly are a hidden gem and a bright light in this dark world.

I met Shawn at my daughter's house when he was doing work for her. I mentioned that I had a constantly dripping shower head. He called me the next day, purchased the needed valve and installed it at a very reasonable price. I appreciate his fast response and reasonable pricing and, most of all, no more annoying drip! Thank you, Shawn. I look forward to you replacing my furnace in the fall.

Shawn came after my water heater had started to leak. He came quickly and gave us a very fair price. He was very easy to communicate with both in person and via text messages. On the day of the install he was on time and very polite. He took his time and was done sooner than he thought. It was an absolute joy to work with him and felt so at ease with him in the house. When he was done he even came in under the original quote!! I was so impressed that I even gave my mom his information for some work she needed to do. I will defiantly be using him again for the future.

Could not say enough. Nice things about Shawn. He was incredibly timely, responsive, professional and transparent through the whole experience. We would use him for any and all services we need in the future that he covers. Very knowledgeable!
