SkyVent Chimney Service LLC is a father-and-son shop — George Sr. and George Jr. — that has been sweeping, inspecting, and repairing chimneys around Loudon, New Hampshire since its BBB profile lists a start date of 9/18/2024. Homeowners call them for chimney cleanings and inspections, cap and liner replacements, chimney rebuilds, and wood- and pellet-stove installs and repairs. SkyVent's track record so far is consistent: 39 reviews across Google, Angi, and the BBB. Google shows a 5.0 average from 27 ratings, Angi a perfect 5.0 from 10 (100% five-star), and the BBB has accredited the company with an A rating. Speed comes up again and again: in an October 2025 review, a customer whose furnace installer was waiting on a chimney liner said George came out within a day after other local shops were booked into mid-November, and in a November 2024 review another homeowner said George cleaned their chimney within the same week they called, after other companies had quoted well into January. Pricing draws similar praise — in an April 2025 review, one customer said SkyVent gave the lowest of several quotes to repair a chimney and replaced a damper handle at no charge. Reviewers also describe stove and fireplace work beyond routine sweeps: in a January 2025 review, a customer said George fixed a gas fireplace that had started rattling loudly 'in a blink,' and others describe wood-stove hookups and pellet-stove cleanings and repairs. One customer, writing in January 2026, said they plan to keep using SkyVent for all future chimney cleanings. SkyVent is a strong option for routine chimney sweeps and inspections, cap or liner work, and stove or gas-fireplace service, especially for homeowners who want someone who can get out to the house quickly. Before booking a larger job like a chimney rebuild, it's still worth getting a written scope and cost breakdown and confirming current insurance, as with any contractor coming into your home.
Exceptional service from start to finish from George Sr and Jr. They were transparent from the jump about different options for our chimney rebuild as well as the costs to us as the customer. We appreciated the discussion of the costs of different materials at the estimate stage of the process. They were both professional and knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. We look forward to working with them in the future on future projects and cleanings. Thank you!!
Highly recomend . George and his son. They were easy to work with on our chimney restoral project, were patient answering our many questions. quick to respond to our request for an estimate showed up on time worked well together and completed the work to our satiisfaction
These guys came out and did a chimney cap in what seemed like minutes, gave me a stellar price, offered good conversation and hospitality welcoming us to our new town. 10/10 wont ever call anyone else
Responsive, reliable and a pleasure to deal with. On top of that, add competent services at a reasonable price. That was my experience with Skyvent Chimney Service and it doesn't get any better than that. Thanks George Sr.
I had Skyvent Chimney and Services clean my pellet stove, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Their customer service was outstanding from start to finish. They were friendly, professional, arrived on time, and took the time to answer all of my questions. The price was very fair, especially considering the high quality of the work they provided. The cleaning was done thoroughly, and they left everything neat and clean when they were finished. I highly recommend Skyvent Chimney and Services to anyone looking for reliable, professional chimney or pellet stove service. I can't say enough about the owner. Just awesome.... I'll definitely be using them again.
