As out of town sellers of a house formerly owned by a deceased family member, we knew we were in desperate need of an experienced and thoughtful moving manager. We found that in Ann Newberry, owner of Smooth Transitions of MA and her team. Ann arrived at the house prepared to help organize, sort, pack and eventually move all content collected from over 50 years of residency. Her professionalism in arranging for auctions, donations or discarding came through and made our lives enormously easier. All moved items arrived safely and timely to the west coast. We highly recommend Ann for any moving manager tasks and are grateful for all she did.

There aren’t enough stars for this amazing company ! The owner Ann is incredible . She was made for this work . I had to move my beloved aunt to an assisted living , who was later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s . She never had children , and even though I lived an hour away , there was bo way I would not be an integral part of this difficult new chapter and the challenges of moving her . Thank GOD a close friend knew Ann and brought us together . I was heading for a nervous breakdown, then came along Ann , who literally saved the day (as well as my sanity). This woman has such an authentic way of making each client feel listened to , and takes the uncertainty away like magic . My aunt , who naturally was afraid and didn’t want to part with anything , finally felt at ease and trusted Ann in helping her make decisions of what was important to take and what wasn’t . Ann’s empathy and compassion was second to none . Her employees she trains so well , they are just like her in their mannerisms and work ethic . They take care of everything , from sorting through with the client , packing up and arranging the packers to take what is going to the assisted living and what is being donated . Then on top of it , the day of the move they unpack everything , decorate and set everything up so perfectly , you would never know she hadn’t lived there for years ! What could have been a sad , difficult time and day , turned into one of hope , inspiration and gratitude . My aunt was so thrilled , with just as their name says was the “smoothest transition” , one could ever have imagined ♥️🫶🙌🏻.
