Two names show up in nearly every review of Sterling Home Improvement: Denis, the owner who comes out and walks through the options, and Mike, the foreman who runs the crew. Thirty written reviews since 2017 across HomeAdvisor, Porch and Google, and not one is below four and a half stars — for a company that does only full roof, siding and window installs, that is the record homeowners are hiring on. Sterling is a Danvers company run by president Denis Giorgione. It says it started in 1979 and incorporated in 1995, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. It has been BBB accredited since July 2009 with an A+ grade. The work is narrow by design: vinyl siding, replacement windows, roofing and blown-in insulation for homeowners in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and southern New Hampshire, with materials cut and shaped on site. HomeAdvisor lists GAF certification and the company advertises financing. The accounts are consistent across years. A July 2026 Google reviewer whose roof had needed replacing for a decade said Denis walked the couple through shingle options and pricing to a cost they agreed on. In March 2024 a homeowner replacing a 25-year-old roof praised Mike's crew and the dumpster arriving on schedule. A 2022 HomeAdvisor customer had the roof, vinyl siding and new windows done as one job and called all three quick and well finished. A 2019 reviewer watched the roof stripped and replaced in about five hours. And in 2018 two homeowners (one on Porch, one on HomeAdvisor, apparently the same job) said they did not find a stray nail in the flower beds afterward. A 2019 siding customer hated the test color once it was on the house, and Denis came back with a second choice. There is nothing negative in the written history. What is worth knowing is how the company chooses to work: its HomeAdvisor profile states it does no repair work unless it did the original install, does only full roofing and siding installations, does not coordinate with insurance claims, and will not discuss pricing by phone, email or text before an in-person meeting. Several reviewers describe that visit as a presentation — one called Denis entertaining, another noted no hard sell. Sterling is the right call for a full roof, siding or window replacement where you want the owner at the table and one crew on the job. If you need a repair, a partial job, or an insurance claim handled, ask before booking the visit — the company says it does not do those.
