Stevens Home Improvement is a family-owned Fairhaven, Massachusetts contractor whose listed work centers on roofing, siding, windows and doors, decks, porches, additions, sunrooms, awnings, and bulkheads. Houzz lists service across Fairhaven, New Bedford, Cape Cod, southeastern Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, with an MA HIC number shown on the profile. The written customer history is old and sharply mixed. Houzz shows 1.7 stars from three reviews dated 2013–2016: a January 2016 homeowner described paying $2,900 for a bulkhead that had not started after nearly 16 weeks, a February 2015 reviewer described damage and cleanup after roof shoveling, and a July 2013 reviewer said the job was fast once started but costly and difficult to begin. Before booking, ask for a current written start date, responsibility for subcontractors, and a detailed price for the exact scope. The profile is a plausible fit for roofing and exterior projects, but the dated complaints make current references and license status worth confirming first.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from STEVENS HOME IMPROVEMENT. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.

“On april 9 i signed a contract with steven home improvement co. To do a roofing job on my house.”
I paid half of the price (2,900.00) to install a new bulkhead into my foundation w/ doghouse in September, it is now midway thru January and nothing has transpired, I am forced to call and text repeatedly with no result, I asked that my money be returned and we will try again in the spring and I am told that Steve has paid the contractor and it's the contractors fault for not showing up, I will now exercise my right to sue !!! I was asked to allow 6 weeks for job to begin it has been nearly 16 weeks !!!
Got my roof shoveled by these guys. They buried the dryer vent, the oil intake tube, and put so much snow on the deck that the house started shaking and BOOMING (it was like a cannon going off; loud enough to frighten the dogs.) We had the roof shoveled because we knew a rainstorm was coming. By the time my wife and I were able to begin removal from these areas, everything had turned to an icy crust that we needed to use a crowbar, the claw of a hammer, and a dirt shovel/spade to remove the mountains of snow. This is ongoing and has taken us almost as much time as they spent removing snow from the roof. We now have cosmetic damage inside due to the pressure exerted on our deck, with cracks in the paint and separation of crown molding from the ceiling. We've called them repeatedly, but they do not respond to our calls.
Fast when job was started but took numerous phone to get it started, and way too expensive for what I had done,
