Elevator modernization is the unusual line on Stewart Electrical Contracting's list, and it tells you who this Lawrence company works for: building owners, facility managers and property teams rather than homeowners with a flickering light. The Better Business Bureau has it accredited since 2017 at an A+, records the corporation as formed in February 2012 with eight employees under owner Francis (Frank) R Stewart, and lists a second location in North Andover. Its Massachusetts electrician license, number 4299, is active. The service list runs across commercial, industrial, utility and aerial electrical work — bucket-truck jobs included — plus fire alarm, security cameras, LED lighting, EV charging stations, whole-house generators, HVAC service and residential electrical. The public written record is short and dated: a handful of accounts from 2023 and 2024, all positive, with 11 Google ratings averaging 4.6. That is enough to say nobody has published a complaint, and not enough to claim a pattern. Two of the accounts come from commercial clients — a building owner and a project contact on an elevator job — which fits the shape of the work rather than a homeowner service business. Worth knowing before you call: this is an eight-person shop whose evidence base is commercial. If your job is a residential service call, ask how it gets scheduled alongside the commercial contracts, and ask for two or three recent references, since the online record is thin enough that it cannot answer that for you.

Stewart Electrical Contracting is absolutely amazing. I worked with them on an elevator vent project recently and not only were they extremely professional, but they were unbelievably reliable and knowledgeable. As per the contract they met the quoted timeframe and kept me informed throughout the entire job. Kudos to Colby and his team. Looking forward to working them again.

The staff at Stewart Electrical are fantastic, especially Kara and Joe! Our car had a huge mechanical problem and we were lucky enough for it to conk out in their parking lot. Kara and Joe graciously opened up their doors (eventhough the business was closed) and let us relax, use the bathroom and have a drink. They offered helpful guidance (we were 8 hours away from our home) and helped us get our car towed. Joe even offered to drop us off at Exeter (30 minutes out of his way). They are so kind and I’m grateful for all their help.

As a building owner having worked with several contractors and different companies over the year, I can honestly say Stewart Electric is BEST IN CLASS! Frank and his team are proactive, great communicators, and extremely responsive. There work is thurough, thoughtful, and top quality. They are true trusted business partners.
