On its website the company says it has been in business 88 years and offers 24/7 emergency service. A 2026 Google reviewer said they called for an oil fill-up before a blizzard and were scheduled for Monday, and the company came Sunday before the storm started and filled the tank without being asked for an earlier delivery. A 2026 Google reviewer wrote that an oil delivery scheduled for that day was delivered before the start of the blizzard. A 2026 Google reviewer said the company took care of their Generac emergency back-up generator with twice-a-year tune-ups, plus their boiler and heating system, and that of three times they needed help in two years, one required a home visit and two were resolved over the phone. A 2026 Google reviewer, a new customer whose family had just closed on a house and found the oil tank pretty much empty, said the company got them oil quickly. Not happy with the price. Yesterday when I ordered oil the price was high at $6.22 per gallon. When they delivered it today the price had gone up to $6.42 per gallon. Looking at the cost of oil per barrel in the country, it went down today. Looking at the prices per gallon around RI today 9/16/26, the prices are between $5.25 - $6.00 per gallon today. Sunshine Oil is way over priced. I would not continue to order oil from them if I didn’t have to. Very disappointed.
I had a first and excellent experience with Sunshine. I needed troubleshooting as a non customer of theirs. Yet, they were very responsive, professional and reasonably priced. From dispatch to the technician, great team.
Sunshine Fuels is awesome, and we are so happy to be in their customer base! We called for an oil fill up last Friday before the blizzard and were scheduled for Monday since we were at 1/4 tank. Sunshine came Sunday before the storm started and filled our tank without us asking for an earlier delivery! They truly take care of their customers and exceed all expectations. This isn't the first time they went up and beyond their service for us. We needed them another time for an issue, and the owner himself came and took care of our needs. Now that's taking care of business! If there was a 10 star rating, it would be theirs, since they are a 10 in our opinion. Thank you Sunshine!
Oil delivery was scheduled for today but was delivered in advance of the start of the blizzard. This is the excellent service Sunshine Fuels provides! They always put their customers first.
Sunshine Fuel takes care of my Generac Emergency Back-Up Generator with twice a year tune-ups, plus my boiler and heating system. I am 100% satisfied with them. On more than one occasion I have called because of an issue. In the last two years I needed help 3 times. Once requiring a home visit. Two times my issues where taken care over the phone by talking me through the easy steps needed to resolve them. Saving me the cost of a home visit.
