Superior Fence & Rail of Greater Boston is the Walpole-based local branch of the Superior Fence & Rail franchise, installing vinyl, wood, aluminum, steel, chain link, and composite fencing plus gates and railing across a wide swath of the Boston area. The Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade. The volume of positive feedback here is substantial — 320 reviews since 2023, the vast majority five stars, with 27 landing in just the past six months. What comes through consistently is crew efficiency on large jobs: reviewers describe 250, 400, even 500 feet of fencing removed and replaced within a day or two, crews working through difficult slopes and staggering pickets to follow a steep grade, and sales staff — Karen comes up by name in multiple reviews — walking customers through design and quoting with patience. Several reviewers specifically compared Superior favorably to other companies they'd gotten quotes from, citing more responsive communication and clearer contracts. The record isn't spotless, though, and the most notable issue is recent. A June 2026 review described irrigation lines being cut during a fence installation, with some of the damage cemented over and never disclosed to the homeowner — a real lapse in that job's execution and communication. An earlier 2025 review described dozens of rusty nails left behind in the yard and driveway after an otherwise well-regarded install, with the reviewer stepping on one. For a homeowner planning a fence project in Greater Boston, Superior's scale and consistency across hundreds of reviews make it a strong option for straightforward installs, especially larger or terrain-challenged yards — but given the recent irrigation-damage account, it's worth asking directly about how utility lines are marked and protected before work begins, and doing a careful walk-through of the site after installation.
Superior Fence did an excellent job for our fencing from start to finish. Karen and the install team were great all the way staring with the 1st meet up to figure out the design, providing the quotation, setting up the install dates, installation itself and the post install minor adjustments. They were courteous, efficient, professional, punctual and friendly. Highly recommended!
5 stars in every way. Our fence is great and their service and pricing can't be beat.
I am writing to provide feedback regarding my fence installation. The fence looks great, unfortunately my irrigation lines were cut during the process, furthermore, some of the lines were cemented over without any notification provided to me that this damage had occurred. I did reach out to Brian the field manager, I was hoping after speaking to him about what occurred , I was hoping this situation would have been rectified. I have not heard back from anyone from Superior fence about this situation. I had to have my irrigation fixed and it cost me over $400 hundred dollars.
Superior Fence did a wonderful Job installing my fence and it looks great! Love it and highly recommend them.
We're so happy with Superior Fence Company. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The crew were very thoughtful and just did a beautiful job of installation.
