Verified record
t. morrell / gutters and roofing is a small, Braintree-based roofing and gutter repair operation run by someone named Morrell. The two written reviews on file both describe serious problems. In a 2022 review, a customer said gutter repairs done after storm damage used too few screws per bracket, leaving the gutters vibrating loudly in the wind; after admitting the mistake, Morrell reportedly never returned to fix it, and a second repair person who later looked at the work called it a poor job. In a 2021 review, an elderly customer's roof leak was allegedly patched with nothing more than caulking for $1,100, the leak was not actually fixed, and part of the roof was later removed on a follow-up visit where the contractor claimed to have installed a ridge vent and pipe boots the reviewer says were never there — along with flashing placed on top of the shingles, a cap installed backward, no permit pulled, and no contract or signature at any point, before an attempt to charge an additional $1,400. There's nothing positive in the written record to weigh against these two accounts — anyone considering this contractor should get a permit and a signed contract in writing before any work begins, given what these two customers describe.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from t. morrell / gutters and roofing. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unfortunately hired Morrell to repair gutters that were damaged when a tree fell on our home. After his "repair" my gutters now make an extremely loud howling sound when they vibrate in strong wind. Called Morrell to discuss, he admitted that he probably should have used more than one screw to attach each bracket, and that he would come out to repair it. He has since ghosted me. A second repair person laughed at what a poor job he did.
Tried to con the elderly by charging $1100 to fix a leaking roof by just using cawlking which looked like a 3 year old did it. Leak still was not fixed and came back and ripped off her entire one side of roof (1 and 1/2 sq), tried telling her he installed a ridge vent and pipe boots.. absolutely no ridge vent or any pipes on the roof also put flashing on top of the shingles and capped the peak the wrong direction. Tried charging an additional $1400. Absolutely no permit was pulled, no contract was given and nothing was signed. Gives a joke of an invoice AFTER second job is done. No mention of how big the roof was and lied about what was done. STAY AWAY
