Target Painting keeps turning up on old houses. In an April 2026 review, a customer who had an exterior refresh done on their 1800s home credited the prep, the paint job and the carpentry with giving the exterior new life; in July 2025, another described an 1880s condominium building in Concord repaired, restored and repainted by the carpentry and painting teams under one project manager. The company's site says it is a family-run painting and carpentry business working since 2005 out of Sudbury, with a second office on Thoreau Street in Concord and crews on Cape Cod since 2023. The paint usually goes on after a repair. An August 2026 Angi reviewer wrote that the south side of their house needed a lot of carpentry, and that Target replaced or repaired all the trim that needed attention, then cleaned the gutters, power-washed, caulked and prepped the surfaces for painting. A July 2025 customer had porch screening carpentry done alongside exterior painting; a May 2024 one had three-quarters of the house re-shingled and the whole exterior painted. More than a dozen reviewers name the people who did the work — Joe, Lucas, Junior, Wacson, Renato, Vivi — rather than just the company. Two things people have raised. A customer writing in July 2024 rated the job five stars and still thought the carpentry was a bit overpriced for the amount of time it took, though that same review rated the power washing and the prep work highly. And in an August 2023 Angi review rated two stars, a homeowner who hired Target to scrape, sand, repair and paint trim wrote that the crew was on time and friendly and repaired well where it was needed, but did not protect the ground. Across platforms the numbers sit close together: 5★ from 36 Google ratings, 4.9★ from 157 on HomeAdvisor, 4.8★ from 95 on Best Pick Reports, 4.8★ from 16 on Houzz, and an A+ on its Better Business Bureau page. The right call for an older MetroWest home that needs rot, trim or shingle work before it can hold paint — the site lists Sudbury, Concord, Wayland, Lincoln, Weston, Wellesley, Lexington and Acton among the towns it serves. Get the carpentry quoted as its own line rather than folded into the paint price, and agree before day one how the ground and plantings around the house will be covered.
