The Angi and HomeAdvisor listings describe deck and porch repair, door and wood fence repair, window glass replacement, window hardware and track repair and wall air-conditioner installation; the company states eleven years of experience on those profiles and more than forty years in construction in its own description, and the Better Business Bureau shows the sole proprietorship starting in 2015. Old windows are where Brian's customers are most specific. In a 2016 review, a homeowner with 101-year-old wooden windows said he repaired three broken panes and built extra stops to extend their life, calling him a true craftsman. A 2017 customer said he repaired sixteen windows for far less than the $40,000-plus a window manufacturer had quoted for replacement. When a 2016 customer's wife spotted a fly sealed inside a repaired double-pane unit, he took it back under what he called an unconditional guarantee. In 2017, after movers broke a window, he arrived within twenty minutes to remove it and seal the opening against snow and cold; a 2018 customer had a replacement window in two days and a broken screen fixed at no charge. The written accounts run from 2015 to October 2022, with most from 2015 to 2018, so the past few years are thinly described. A 2018 reviewer noted some trouble reaching him at first, though the work went well once they connected. The licensing record needs a direct question. BuildZoom lists Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 186822 under a David Terry doing business as Terry's Home Improvement, expired in January 2021, re-checked as expired in April 2026 and shown by the state at one point as cancelled. Massachusetts requires a current HIC registration for most paid home improvement work, and the reviews name Brian, not David, so ask which registration covers the work today. The BBB profile is unrated for lack of information and shows no complaints. For repairing old wooden windows, sash and glass, small carpentry and deck fixes, past customers describe careful, honest work at a fraction of replacement cost. Confirm the current registration before booking anything that needs a permit.
