Twenty ratings, every one of them five stars, and nearly all about the same thing: getting old windows working again instead of replacing them. In a December 2017 review a homeowner wrote that Marvin's had quoted over $40,000 and that Terry repaired 16 windows instead, for far less. In July 2016 another described three broken panes in 101-year-old wooden sashes, repaired with extra stops cut for the next one to go. BBB lists the business as a one-person sole proprietorship at 607 Boylston Street in Boston, started in 2015; the Angi profile claims over 40 years in construction. Reviewers name Brian Terry, and an assistant called David, through most of the accounts. Speed comes up again and again. A February 2017 customer whose window was broken by movers wrote that he arrived within 20 minutes and boarded the opening against the snow. A March 2018 reviewer had a new window two days after the assessment, with a broken screen fixed at no charge. And in April 2016 a customer noticed a fly sealed inside a repaired double-pane unit — that reviewer wrote that Terry took the window back and replaced it again under an unconditional guarantee. Licensing is the thing to check. BuildZoom records a Massachusetts general contractor and home improvement registration, #186822, as expired since 19 January 2021, re-verified as expired in April 2026, with the state status reported as at one point cancelled. For a sash repair or a wall air-conditioner that may not matter; for a registered home improvement contract it does. The written accounts also stop in 2022. Ask for a recent local reference, and confirm the registration status with the state yourself before signing anything sizeable.

I hired him through Angi, and was really happy with his job and knowledge. He has a lot of experience and know what he is doing. Will fully recommend him and hire him again if I need to do another job at my house.
This was the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had with a business. The owner is knowledgeable and he clearly cares about the work he does. If you’re thinking about hiring this person, do it. You will not regret it.
I called terry to see if my counter could be raise as my new dishwasher would not fit where my old one was. I was told I had to either cut the floor or do the counter over He said it would be a lot of work as I have tile that would have to be cut. He then asked if he could try something and guess what he got my dishwasher in with no cutting that the other guy said I had to do. Terry and Dave are the best. Thank you
Mr. Terry was responsive, did a great job (we are out of state landlords) , coordinated the work with tenant. We are extremely satisfied and would use his services again. Thank you Mr. Terry!
