The Better Cleaner

Edward cleaned the gutters, then ran a camera down the downspout to clear out debris he could not reach from the top — that is a July 2026 reviewer's account, and it is the kind of thing customers of The Better Cleaner keep writing about. The business is owner-operated out of Revere: gutter cleaning and gutter guards, window cleaning, roof washing, pressure washing and solar panel cleaning. Edward says he started it on his own after eight years as a partner at another Massachusetts company doing the same work. On Google it holds 5 stars from 93 ratings, with written reviews going back to 2022. Gutter cleaning and window washing come up again and again. A 2023 reviewer, showing a house that Saturday, called on the Monday about 37 windows and six doors and had them cleaned by Wednesday. A 2022 reviewer compared him with a previous cleaner who spent 15 minutes on the gutters, where Edward spent almost an hour. Another 2023 review describes gutters cleaned, the debris carted away, a downspout fixed and a skylight done in the same visit. In April 2026 a customer had two stories of windows and screens washed and noted that he wore booties in the house. Quotes tend to arrive fast: a 2023 reviewer got one within several hours, worked up from Google Maps and online photos of the exterior; a December 2024 reviewer got a quote in 20 minutes with several options. Reviewers also describe small things he did not bill for — siliconing gutter corners that dripped in heavy rain, in a January 2025 review, and offering to fix a broken light fixture he spotted, in a May 2025 one. A 2024 reviewer liked that he sends photos of the cleaned gutters, so you can see what you paid for. It is a one-man business, so quotes and scheduling go through Edward directly. The site names Wakefield, Salem, Cambridge, Saugus and Stoneham among the towns it covers. A good call for routine exterior maintenance on a house — gutters before winter, windows before a showing, a green-tinged roof or siding. Confirm your town is on his route, settle the price and what is included before he starts, and ask about insurance for the ladder and roof work.
