In April 2026 a homeowner had the back porches on a two-family torn off and rebuilt, with the new siding matched into the original. Doors are a recurring order — seven reviews describe one. An entry door replaced in April 2025, where the customer said he knew from the first call what needed doing. A complicated back door in February 2025, where unexpected problems turned up and were handled without drama. A new doorway in a March 2019 Thumbtack review, in first thing in the morning at the scheduled time, with the work debris cleaned up. And in December 2025, a run of small jobs in one house: a rotted second-floor window sill, a rebuilt basement egress threshold, replacement drawers for an original built-in, and a door hung. Two things to pin down. The listings do not agree on how long he has been at it — Thumbtack's profile says 12 years in business while its own self-reported FAQ answer says 18, and BuildZoom's permit history for the company runs back to 2018 across 37 recorded permits. The other is scope: framing, tiling, finish carpentry, kitchen and bathroom renovation, finished basements and additions all sit on BuildZoom's list, so anything crossing several of those deserves a written schedule.
