The Dirty Roofer is a Boston roofing shop that works in every common material — asphalt, copper, slate, and rubber — with copper the thread that keeps coming up. The company describes itself as a crew of roofing specialists who have worked New England for nearly 20 years, run day to day by Eamon and Brendan. The clearest recent account is a spring 2026 full roof repair. The homeowner had already used them years earlier for an ice dam, came back for the bigger job, found Brendan and Eamon responsive and reasonably priced, and let them add chimney masonry and new caps mid-project. That pattern — a small first job that turns into repeat hires — runs through the longer history too: a handful of five-star reviews since 2025, all pointing at fair pricing and clean, durable work. The aggregate picture is a step more mixed than those reviews suggest. Google averages 3.8 across nine ratings and serviceagent.ai lists 3.6 from eight — both below the all-five-star reviews you can actually read, which means there are lower ratings you can't see. One directory poll on vimarsana had only about a third of respondents answer positively. Listings also place the business in both Boston and Weymouth, so it's worth confirming which crew and location you're booking. This is a reasonable call for standard and copper or specialty roofing around Boston and the South Shore, especially if fair pricing and repeat-customer trust matter to you. Given how thin the recent review volume is, ask for a couple of recent local references and get the full scope — roof plus any gutter or chimney add-ons — in writing before work starts.

We had a fantastic experience with The Dirty Roofer. The fixed an ice damn for us a few years and ago, and even with the cold of 2026, we had no issues. So, when we decided to do a full roof repair this spring, we knew who to call. What better reference that a job well done in the past. Brendan and Eamon were responsive and very reasonably priced. But the best part was the work and communication. They noticed some of the masonry on our chimney needed some help and that we could use chimney caps. And allowed us to add on that service. It brings significant piece of mind, knowing the job was done and done correctly.

Eamon and Brenden did another fabulous job for me recently. I have used them several times over the years and they are always professional , neat and very attentive to their work. The copper work is always top notch and never hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

Experienced, hardworking guys, honest fair pricing. Did a rubber roof and shingled my screen in porch 7 years ago holding up great no leaks no blowoffs no issues.
