The Super has handled handyman repairs for Cambridge and Somerville-area homeowners since at least 2016 -- furniture assembly, drywall patching, a bathroom re-tiling job, and small painting touch-ups. Reviewers from that period consistently praised fast turnaround: one homeowner said The Super answered within minutes of an online request and returned the next day to assemble a piece of furniture, and another described a same-visit fix of a fire alarm and a shower. A 2016 review credited the crew, working under a tradesman named Thinley, with a reasonably priced bathtub re-tiling job. Angi and HomeAdvisor both show a 4.6-star average across 63 ratings, though the two profiles read as mirrors of the same underlying review set rather than two independent audiences. Not every visit went smoothly. A 2016 HomeAdvisor review reported a four-minute visit billed the full $70 service fee with no proration for short jobs, and another described a long, mostly unreturned wait for a promised quote before an estimate finally arrived. The business's Massachusetts home improvement contractor license (129583) is registry-verified but currently shows as expired, worth confirming directly before booking. For a small handyman job in the Cambridge/Somerville area -- furniture assembly, a patch of drywall, a quick painting touch-up -- The Super has a track record of responsive, competent work, though the written reviews on file are several years old and the state contractor license should be checked before hiring.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from The Super. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.

I needed someone as soon as possible, and I was pleased he showed up within a reasonable time. My Fire Alarms and Shower were fixed. Very good work by Handy Man.
The Super contacted me within minutes of my online request, looked over the project, gave me an estimate, and returned the next day to successfully assemble the piece of furniture I needed assembled. He was considerate enough to phone me when it turned out he was running a little late. I will keep him in mind for future proects.
My handyman was here for 4 minutes and I charged the full $70. Seems like there could be a prorating when the appointment is under 10 minutes.
Thinley and crew showed up on time, did a quality re-tiling job of our bathtub wall, and their cost was very reasonable.
Thinley came out said he would contact us with a quote for the job . We didn't hear from him again. ???. I sent another email. He did respond . Took I think too long . He is very polite and professional but took to long.
