Three Gold Guys is a Malden home renovation contractor whose Google reviews cover a wide range — from a 250-square-foot home addition with two new bathrooms to a full loft conversion — alongside its core exterior trades of siding, roofing, gutters and painting. The company says on its own site that it's been doing this work for 20 years around the Malden area. The heaviest run of reviews landed between October 2025 and February 2026. One homeowner described a flat-roof repair that finally stopped a leak, another had gutters put on the back of a family member's house, and a third chose a lighter kitchen update — cabinet refinishing, new quartz countertops and a farmhouse sink — over a full gut renovation. One reviewer said the crew used the homeowner's own long ladder to save the cost of scaffolding and told them the roof didn't actually need the repairs another company had tried to sell. A painting job also included some light carpentry, replacing siding where needed, and a stuck sliding door got fixed on a scheduled visit. Google shows a 4.8-star average from 17 ratings, and 16 of the 17 written reviews on file are five stars, including one in Portuguese praising the quality of the work. The one exception is also the most recent: an August 2026 review describes a badly handled project, citing a deceptive initial contract, repeated upcharges, a bathroom wall tiled three times over, waterproofing the reviewer says was skipped, and a hole left in the concrete. It's the only review posted since February 2026, so it's worth asking directly how the contract and any change orders will be handled up front, and getting the waterproofing plan in writing before work starts on a bathroom or foundation area. For an exterior job — siding, roofing, gutters — or a larger addition, Three Gold Guys has a run of specific, positive reviews behind it. Go in with a firm written scope, particularly for tiling and waterproofing work, given the one detailed complaint on file.
We had an awful experience with . I would never recommend this company to anyone. From the deceptive initial contract, constant upcharging, horrible construction mistakes (such as tiling one bathroom wall three times), forgetting waterproofing, leaving a gaping hole in the concrete floor to the apartment below behind a wall, to our very unpleasant dealing with the owner when things go South and he tries to flip it and blame the client. Really? The sad part is that in there are too many people that are unfamiliar with the construction process and he takes full advantage of them. Run, don't walk, away from this company!
We embarked on an addition on our 1k sq ft home. We added about 250 sq ft and 2 new bathrooms. One being a new main suite. They did a great job walking us through the project
They completed a loft conversion for us and were a pleasure to deal with. They were prompt and reliable everyday through the build
From home remodeling updates to structural improvements, everything was handled professionally. The final result feels clean, modern, and tailored to our vision.
Our kitchen is very well now. Loving it. Thank you all so much. Very pleasing.
