Luke Ingemi built Treadstone on small jobs done fast. In a 2014 review, a homeowner whose door had nearly been blown off its frame called and had him there in thirty minutes; it was fixed inside the hour, and they hired him to clear junk the same day. Another that year had a table assembled and the packaging taken away with it. Customers in those years kept using the same word: prompt. The work grew past handyman calls. In a 2014 review, a homeowner wanting a face lift for an older kitchen got a floating laminate floor and then a new counter, sink, tile backsplash and a recessed-light ceiling as well. In another that November, a week-long job took out plaster, hung and insulated drywall and painted, with the estimate given on a Saturday. Reviewers in 2016 and 2017 praised floor installation and carpentry. HomeAdvisor carries 37 project photos across five galleries, including a commercial renovation at a Clarion Hotel. That HomeAdvisor record runs February 2014 to June 2019 and stops there. Three more reviews arrived on Thumbtack in late 2024, one describing a kitchen reconfiguration for a customer who cooks and bakes and had been living with a small, dated room with no flow. BuildZoom shows two permitted jobs in Malden in 2025 — a two-family gut renovation and a $154,000 addition — and lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration for the company that it says it verified active in March 2026. Two older complaints are specific enough to raise. In April 2019, a homeowner wrote that the work was done well but a worker's behaviour on site had them ready to dial 911, and that they could reach neither HomeAdvisor nor the owner who had come out to look at the job; the owner replied with an apology. In July 2017, a sunroom roof finished in a single day was described as left leaking, with uncaulked screws sticking up and debris across the yard. A 2014 reviewer also found ceiling repairs did not match the existing texture, while praising the painting. Its HomeAdvisor average is 4.6 from 25 ratings and Thumbtack shows 5 stars from 3. For a remodel or a list of smaller jobs around the North Shore, this is worth a conversation — but the detailed customer accounts are nearly all from before 2020. Ask for references and photos from jobs finished in the last two years, and confirm the registration number and its expiry date directly before you sign anything.
