Steven Waitekaitis has been building and renovating homes on the South Shore under the Trevlex name since the 1980s, and in a 2020 review a customer noted his son Trevor working alongside him on a job. In a 2015 review, one family said they'd retained Trevlex for home construction and improvements since the mid-1980s — their Weymouth home was built by Trevlex in 1986, with numerous follow-up projects over the next 28 years. The reviews on file run from 2015 to 2020, all on Houzz. In a 2016 review, one homeowner described a complete kitchen gut renovation — new ceiling beam, floors, walls and all — calling the result beautiful; in a 2020 review, another described a kitchen, bathroom and mud room renovation in an antique home, praising the crew's cleanliness and organization throughout. A 2019 review credits Trevlex with a full exterior overhaul — re-shingling the roof, replacing trim, windows and doors, and coordinating electrical work and painting — and a 2015 review describes hiring Steven as general contractor for a seven-month renovation after seeing an addition he'd built for a neighbor. Building permit records back this up with fourteen permitted projects on file, spanning custom homes, additions and remodels across Norwell, Hingham, Scituate, Cohasset, Marshfield and neighboring towns. There's a wrinkle worth asking about before signing anything: the company's own marketing and its Angi profile date it to 1985 (41 years), but its BBB registration shows a business-started date of January 1996 — an 11-year gap between the two. Its Construction Supervisor license also shows up as two different numbers between BuildZoom and Houzz. Neither is disqualifying, but both are worth clearing up directly with Steve before signing anything. A single 2017 note on BuildZoom also mentions a canceled job, with no further detail given. For a full kitchen or exterior renovation, or an addition built by someone with decades of hands-on South Shore experience, Trevlex is a reasonable call — just confirm the current license number and the company's actual start date directly.
Steve just finished a small kitchen renovation , bathroom and mud room in our antique home It was such a blessing to have Steve and his son Trevor on my project Steve showed up everyday from start to finish They were clean and organized through the project Steve was patient and kind and his work was impeccable .... Steve has an amazing team of subcontractors who showed up when needed Painters, Plummer , electrician , tile They were professional , pleasant and timely Steve never had an attitude .... he answered my questions and worked out different parts of our project as we went along with kindness and patience I highly recommend using Steve he is an amazing craftsman and a true professional Thank you Steve and Trevor for doing a great job !!
Steve was great. He re-shingled our house, replaced all the trim, replaced most of the windows and doors. He also helped us get the roof re-shingled, get some electrical work done, and everything painted. We were picky and changed our minds a few times, but Steve worked with us and kept everything rolling forward.

We hired Trevlex to remodel a kitchen in 2015. It was a big job -- our old kitchen was completely gutted, a new ceiling beam was installed, all new floors, windows, heating, some new walls, etc. The kitchen turned out beautifully. We love it. The owner of Trevlex (Steven Waitekaitis) was great to work with. His cost estimate was spot on. His subcontractors were great (responsible, friendly, tidy, professional). Steve is easy to be around, an excellent communicator, very responsive. He is considerate and timely. We had a delay in our job due to our cabinet-maker (whom I hired before I hired Trevlex). Steve handled the delay better than I did, and stayed in close contact with both me and our cabinet-maker throughout. I would definitely hire Trevlex again. They did an excellent job for us.
My husband and I chose Steven Waitekaitis of Trevlex Construction, Inc. to be our general contractor after seeing the addition he built for my sister-in-law. We were really impressed by the quality of his work. We planned a major renovation, a project that took about seven months, and Steve was with us every step of the way. The work he did was first rate, and the sub contractors he hired did a great job. He even recommended a designer when we struggled with our kitchen plans. Steve was approachable and easy to talk with. He was reliable and got back to us promptly whenever we had any questions. He was honest and upfront about the work and the costs. If we were uncertain about which way to go at a stage of our renovation, Steve was able to give us good, experienced advice and make practical suggestions, while respecting our wishes. For all these reasons, we highly recommend Steven Waitekaitis of Trevlex Construction Co, Inc. for anyone looking for a good general contractor.
