A January 2023 one-star review says the company turned off a heating unit, quoted a new unit for 10k over a carbon monoxide leak, and a second opinion found none of that was true.
Pat was very informative, pleasant, came in and got right to work. Finished up quickly and tested the heat before he left. He even tested the smoke alarm. Here’s to hoping my boiler performs as it should. Thanks also to Tyler for being a reasonable fee for cleaning and service.
Quick efficient service, thx
I have a service maintenance contract with Tyler for about 2 years now. They came to service my boiler and hot water heater, but every time they finish the service, there is always a problem. This year, they said the circuit board failed over the summer. There was no proof since they didn't test the furnace before starting their maintenance. Fine, I'll take the hit for that. However, here's the worst part of Tyler's service. They took 2 weeks to order the part, and said it may take 2 more weeks for the other part. They had no status as to what's taking so long. They don't call or text to give you an update. I called a different company after cancelling their service. It took 2 days to get my boiler back up and running. They got the parts in 24 hours and scheduled a technician to come out right away. Charged half the price for the correct parts. Stay away from Tyler Heating and Air. Their back office was rude and didn't care if your appliances are working or not. Reply @Tyler: Your concern of having NO heat just wasn't there. I understand retrieving parts are an issue, but the concern doesn't justify a customer has to chase down a company for an update for 2 weeks and then followed up with we need another 2 weeks to wait for the part to appear when the temperature is dropping under 40 degrees at night. I also don't consider that priority under your service contract.
Still waiting for repairs to my furnace which is under warranty. This is day two with no reply as to when it’s going to be fixed. Furnace is only two years old.
