Ultra Safe Pest Management is a Canton-based pest and wildlife control outfit that, by its own account, has been at it for more than twenty years and is still owner-run day to day. It works the Greater Boston area on everything from carpenter ants and bed bugs to raccoons in the attic and bats in the eaves, and it has built one of the larger review bases in the category: 261 reviews across four sources since 2022, with Google alone showing 4.8 stars from 328 ratings. The reviews keep naming the same handful of technicians — Eric, Rico, Collis, John, Kristin — a pattern that usually means the same people show up and know the account. A June 2026 review is a good recent example: a customer called about a dead animal in the yard, and Eric came out, inspected the shed area, and walked them through it. But that same month also produced a sharper complaint — an appointment window that never made it into the scheduling system, a 25-minute hold, and no apology after a wasted afternoon. With only two reviews landing in the last six months, that's a thin sample, but a coin-flip between a smooth visit and a scheduling failure is worth knowing going in. There's a real conflict worth pausing on before calling: Ultra Safe's own website claims BBB A+ accreditation going back to 2004, but BBB's current listing shows the company as NOT accredited, unrated, and carrying an alert for "out-of-business known or suspected." The fresh 2026 Google activity argues against the business actually being closed, but the gap between what the company claims and what BBB currently shows is worth asking about directly. Separately, one older review described a nearly $400 inspection that mostly confirmed problems the homeowner already knew about. This reads like a long-running, still-active operation for general pest and wildlife work — inspections, exclusion, rodent and insect treatment — backed by a wide certification list (QualityPro, NEPMA, ESA, several wildlife-control credentials) and a deep, mostly positive review history. Worth confirming current BBB standing and pinning down the appointment window in writing before booking.

No show! I was given an appointment for 12 to 4 today. When I hadn't heard from anyone by 2:20, I called, spent a total of 25 minutes on hold, and found out that my appointment apparently hadn't "saved" in their scheduling system. They would have to reschedule me. There was no supervisor available to talk to me. Throughout my whole experience, I felt as if I was dealing with a big company with no personal interest in the customer. They tried to upsell me on a yearly subscription to start and then they didn't even apologize when they wasted a whole day of my time.

I needed assistance with the removal of a carcass and professional inspection of the yard for the kids safety. Eric came right out to the house and listened to my concern about the carcass, did a thorough inspection of the yard and shed area providing peace of mind. Highly recommend their service. P.S. the owner answered the phone and took the call himself, you don’t see that too often anymore.

One of your inspectors came. We were charged almost $400 for her to just tell us that the outside issue was not termites as we already have a terminte contract with Terminex, but that it was a carpenter ant problem. Inside the house, she confirmed that I have a gnat problem and a moth problem, which I already knew but claimed that even if it was treated, if we didn't find the source of it, it would come back again.

Collis came and checked all around the inside and outside of my house for holes that would be entry points for mice. He was thorough and very pleasant to work with.
