V Castillo Construction

V Castillo Construction is a Waltham, MA general contractor that Thumbtack credits with an 11-year history under Mario Velasquez — the kind of company reviewers call for a deck rebuild, a porch refresh, or general work around the house. Thumbtack's own rating breakdown shows 100% five stars across its 12 ratings, and Google shows a matching 5-star average from 11 ratings. The specifics back that up: a 2025 reviewer said Mario and his team refinished a deck with new Trex decking and vinyl railings, cleaning up daily and leaving the yard usable, and another 2025 review described a deck refurbishment that was fast, friendly, and left looking great. When something didn't go right, they made it right: a 2025 reviewer said a problem with the deck's wood cuts was corrected the next morning after a call to Mario, and they said they'd use him again. Reviewers in both 2025 and 2023 called the pricing very reasonable, and a 2023 review described a front porch project — new shutters, a freshly painted front door — done with the crew arriving early and cleaning up every day. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #216249, is active on the state registry. Beyond decks and porches, Thumbtack lists the company for roofing work — shingle and tile repair, flashing, and soffit or fascia repair. This is a strong call for a deck project, porch refresh, or general exterior work; confirm the roofing scope and current insurance directly if that's the job at hand.
